I have used a lot of different antivirus programs over the years and this is one that I have had previously. The price was right and Malwarebytes has been around a long time. The standalone scanner dates back to 2004 and has a good reputation. This version has more protection and has good test results. It's also easy to use and offers an 18 month license.Getting the program installed and registered was easy. The scanner is fairly fast and the program does not bog down my computer. I like it.

Works very well cleaning up malware on my PC's.
This software got rid of some very stubborn malware on my PC. I'm not very tech savvy, but I used the chat box, both automated and with a live person, to help me easily install it with step-by-step instructions. Easy to use with easy to read scan reports. Very good value for the money.

Gives peace of mind
I work in cyber security, so I avoided using anti virus for the longest time. While I have never been breached (yet) or had my computer infected by malware, it is bound to happen at some point. Although I trust myself to keep my computer clean, I can only do so much to protect against things such as worms or malicious repositories. That is where Malwarebytes comes in to the picture. I have been using the Malwarebytes free version for around 8 or more years. This version is great, but only really helps once it is too late. The paid version (this product) offers real time protection, exploit protection, and many other things. While this will not stop every attack (zero days, files too large, etc.), this can help to prevent common ones.I have been using the paid version for about 2 months, and have only had 1 "exploit" noted. This exploit was actually normal function for what was running, but I honestly prefer it being a little cautious over it ignoring it and getting infected.I also want to point out that the default configuration is the perfect balance between security and functionality. While I personally have chosen to keep it at the defaults, there are options to increase security or reduce it. For most people, I would stick with the defaults. Finally, the pricing. This 18 months Malwarebytes license is an extremely fair price for the services provided at only $30-$40.I have seen reviews from other users stating issues with the licenses when switching to new computers or updating the computer (hardware update?). Due to the way the license works, I 100% believe there would be issues with licensing when switching to a new computer, so keep that in mind. When it comes to updates, I have had no problem with the licensing, though I have only done software updates. I would not be surprised if the license had trouble when new major hardware is installed (CPU, GPU, etc.), as I have had problems with other vendors in the past about this. The license is not tied to an account from what I can tell, but rather just to a computer. As a result, removing a computer from the license to use on another computer is likely not possible.

The best anti-malware product you can have...
Outside of an antivirus Malwarebytes is the best product you can use to enhance and supplement the protection your antivirus provides. The price is fair and you simply cannot go wrong with this. Their browser guard is also quite good - especially so for users out there that aren't savvy at what emails to never open or website they should avoid. The Malwarebytes service itself uses less than 160 MB of memory and it has a very light footprint. Use this along with a good antivirus (like Bitdefender) and a good VPN and you are set.

Installed easily,everything works
I haves used Malwarebytes in the past, like many others as a standalone backup scanner when I picked up malware and wanted to double check my main antivirus progam to be sure nothing was missed. I used Norton for many years but would encounter installation problems on renewal on a regular basis, and it was, in my opinion an extremelynintrusive progam.I used microsoft defender for quite a while after that but I find the interface a little non user freindly if your trying to find out what it's actually doing or done if you've picked up some malware.I installed Malwarebytes after I updated a program I've had installed for years and it updated itself but also installed some crapware at the same time.I did a scan with Malwarebytes and it picked up the same stuff as Defender plus some other stuff. It fixed the problem easily. If you install Malwarebytes Free version it installs the Premium(paid) version on a 1 week trial and if you don't activate the license by purchase it reverts to the free version. During the trial period. unless you intervene, it will installitself as your primary antivirus and then reactivate Defender if you don't buy it.I bought the 18 month 2 devices deal here sold by Amazon for $29.99 for a license key code download. You just copy the key code from your download library and put it into the activation tab in the installed trial version on your device and your done.Things I like are a simple, user freindly interface which is easy to understand and keeps an easily accessable history of exactly what it caught and what was done with it.Malwarbytes also has a good knowledgebase so you can investigate if you want to find out about the malware you may have been infected with.I keep all my basic options checked, including the web protection which will flag websites known have installed malware. If you install the trial version, try it out, like it , then simply buy the activation code download , put it into your already installed program and your done. The deal I got at Amazon 18 months 2 devices $29.99 was the best I could find anywhere and I looked pretty hard. It's nice that the activation code stays right in your Amazon download library where you can find it if you need it again for your second device or if you have a problem. You can drive yoursel crazy trying to find the best antivirus. I believe Malwarebytes in in the top 4 or 5 of the best available antimalware programs with not much difference between the top ones as far as efectiveness.I know for a fact that having used it as a free version over the years it picked up stuff many times others missed.Just as a note I use a dell laptop, windows10 operating system.
