Solved the problem

This is an adapter for power supply lead to 8pin connector on a gigabyte 450 board.Great little adapter to keep on hand.

Works like a charm.

While the product title suggests that the cable could provide 12V 4+4 8-pin power, as a matter of fact, this claim is impossible right of the bat for this kind of cable. This cable is in principle unable to provide full-spec 12V 4+4 8-pin power,because this cable only has 7 conductors. In fact, PCI-e cables coming from PSU do in general only have 7 conductors, so the full-spec 4+4 is out of question right from the start.Furthermore, the following facts about this cable became apparent after purchase. This cable is missing a conductor. This cable also has a short circuit between two pins. At the same time, the original 12V 4+4 8-pin cable from my PSU's manufacturer comes with 8-conductor wires, and no short circuits.

I had only one 8-pin connector and needed to split the power to two connectors on the motherboard. This did the trick perfectly.

But the color is bad

Perfect for connecting an older corsair PSU, mind you the PSU was only bought a little over 2 years previously. but had only one 8 pin connector. While the splitter seems to be of good guality I found the price a little high, probably due to demand for it. Otherwise well received.I
