Really great phone system.
I purchased this set to replace an aging Panasonic set that was beginning to have issues. These phones have many more features than the old set, and I particularly appreciate being able to adjust the tone of the earpiece as I am a bit hard of hearing, even with hearing aids. The bluetooth is also very useful as I have my hearing aids linked to the phones so that when a call comes in, it rings in my hearing aids. I also purchased two of the Panasonic range extenders (through Amazon Warehouse deals) at an extremely good price, and do they ever work well. Immediately after installation I decided to test them out by walking around my yard, which is 500' x250', and even went beyond that to the far side of a neighbors property (about 500'), and the phone still worked without a hitch. I then tried going inside my metal garage, where the old phones would lose connection just half way in, even with all 3 doors wide open. These phones even stayed connected with all 3 doors closed. My next test will be to see just how far I can roam outside before I lose the connection. This is one very good phone system that I don't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Works with My Very Old Phones
I have an I don't know how old set of Panasonic Model KX-TGEA20 phones. So I ordered this just hoping it would work. It paired easily! One note - when you hold the set locater button on the base, don't release when you hear a series of short beeps - keep holding until you hear one long beep. Works perfectly.

To pair up: plug in near base unit, hold in the "Locator" button for 5 sec on the base unit and it will be all set.
We bought this to go with our Panasonic link2Cell cordless phone system. We LOVE this system! It is fantastic, with very little flaws in our opinion - and those flaws are really small things we simply don't care for, but not production or quality flaws. This particular product is an exact match for our Link2Cell home phone set up. It works perfectly out of the box, pairing with the system very easily. It was literally paired and in place in our basement within a couple of minutes. It has all the functions of our other base phones, and is of the same quality.PROS: It is the same cordless base and phone as our others, with all the same functionality. It is quick and easy to pair and get set up out of the box. If you like your Panasonic Link2Cell phone system, you would assume this was bundled with your set. It is a perfect match, with flawless utility out of the box. Very pleased with this extra phone!!!CONS: I still don't like the white back on any of these phones. They should have stayed all silver. The white back makes it look a little cheap in our opinion. The price of buying this unit separately is high compared to the cost of my five phone bundled set if you divided that up. Since this system can handle six paired phones, there should be a six phone bundled set one could buy without going through the additional hassle of ordering separate phone units. This last con is about Panasonic's bundling business practice, as opposed to this unit. The phone operates flawlessly.

Zero, negative stars if I could!!!!!
This is utterly ridiculous and a BAD BAD product. This is the 2nd unit.....and both the original unit worked for all of 36 hours, then totally died, and this one are DOA. I have tried all the troubleshooting. I've used two sets of batteries, all fully charged. No luck. None of the "troubleshooting" from the instructions or online works. FOR THE SECOND TIME. This 2nd unit joyfully tells me it IS charging.....along with the notice "BASE NO POWER.".....uh, how can it be charging AND no power at the same time? Ok, maybe a bad fit on the base unit charger, so I put it on charger for this unit (not the base station, the one pictured here.) It also says "CHARGING" and "BASE NO POWER." The base station is powered on....I can use the messages, speakerphone, etc an all the lights light up It's not batteries. It's the blasted unit. ZERO STARS. Panasonic recommends that I return the unit to them for repair. 2 units in less than a week that are DOA? Give me my money back. BTW the "kit" phone that I also bought--the KX-TGE275 which has the base station/answerphone and 4 additional cordless phones--worked perfectly and the phones all worked instantly upon insertion of the batteries. This unit is supposed to handle "up to 6 handsets" but obviously the independently sold ones are defective. Plus, the original individual handset arrived in just a plastic bag--the replacement was in an official box with instructions, etc. So I think the first handset was a defective retutrn which they tried to palm off on me, and then sent me a "real" unit--that also doesn't work. GRRRRRR

It was useless. Once I got in the manual and menu ...
If you buy this replacement handset, here's a heads-up for you. If your phone system has the maximum number of handsets "Registered," you may need to "Deregister" one of them, or your phone, base unit may not be able to "Register" the new replacement handset because it is at full capacity on the number of handsets it can register, as happened to me. Even if the handset you are replacing has been lost or destroyed, it is still registered. I have a KX-TGE275S system and I could not get this replacement to register with my unit, even though it was identical to my other handsets. It was useless. Once I got in the manual and menu and "Deregistered" the ruined handset, this replacement registered in an instant and I have my system back up to 6 handsets, which I sorely need.
