It works great. It takes a few days, but once you hit that, it really looks great.

Been using this brand for years before all the mainline ones came out. It works very well, but if you have very dry, old skin like I do you have to moisturize first to get a smooth coverage.

the tan from this is so so so good. it’s for sure better than the jergens. but.. the scent is really really potent. it smells just like the chocolate scented chapstick from my youth, or the hot coco hand cream from bath and body works… i have to put it on at night and then shower it off in the morning so i don’t smell like this in public…

Love this lotion! I have been using it for years! It gives you a really nice tan and does not make you look orange at all.

Silly enough, I was hoping this lotion would give me a gradual tan with a minimal self-tan scent, hoping it would mostly smell like the regular Palmers lotion I'm obsessed with; this isn't it. Smells terrible. Not something I can put on out of the shower, get a gradual tan, and not be grossed out by the smell. My bra and all clothing stinks and needs to be washed, and it takes much longer than others to soak in and dry down. This isn't for me! I've tried MANY, and the best of the best is Banana Boat, Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion, Deep Dark Color.

I am always looking for the latest and greatest self tanning options. The problem is that most of them leave that infamous odor that seems to linger until your next shower. While this product is not a self tanner per se, I have always loved Palmers Cocoa Butter and have used it since I was younger. So I thought I would give this product a try and boy and I glad I did! While you will notice a slight change in skin tone after one use (I am fair skinned), if you use it over the course of several days it really looks like you have a tan. And the best part is there is no yucky odor! It actually smells identical to the original cocoa butter. And the color lasts for several days. I will definitely buy this product again and again!

Palmer's is a sort of old "tried and true" company for moisturizers, maternity stretch mark cream, etc. I was having so many problems with self-tanners that streak, turn you orange, etc., and those were often fancy cosmetic companies' products! Finally tried this "old trooper", & it's the best. No streaks, not orange -- I use it primarily on my face, and it's lovely. There is the tell-tale self-tanner scent, but not super strong & I actually rather like it. Good associations, perhaps, with summertime?

Goes on evenly and looks natural

Use it generally as moisturizer and it is really effective with good smell and get absorbed fast with no greasy effects 👍
