Extech 380803 True RMS Power Analyzer/Appliance Tester and Datalogger

I have used this power analyzer for the past month and very pleased with the results. Some areas of the instruction are unclear, but I was able to get it all together and logged data 24 hours a day. I recorded data from my solar panel and only hooked up Ac long enough to check the functionality of the equipment. Everything worked as advertised, and I do not have any complaints about the product as of yet. I was able to transfer the data to excel for further analysis. I do like the function where I can plot the data of specific reading, like the watts or amps. I can look at the hight points and low points throughout the whole day. I like the fact that I can take AC or DC readings with this analyzer.The power analyzer seems to be good quality. It is enclosed in a hard plastic case with easy connection points and cables. The one thing I had to do separate was buy an extra cable to change the R232 to USB as to use with my notebook. Everything worked well and I haven't had any issues yet.In my opinion, it is worth the money to be able to record this data all day and not have to sit there taking readings all day long.

This new unit lasted for only 18 months. Manufacturer says too bad. Warranty is one year. Cost for them to take a look at is is $275.
