Great product, awesome service
Great product, awesome service, highly recommended.I purchased two Mobal Global Unlimited SIMs for a recent trip to Asia. It was my wife and I's wedding/honeymoon, and we were going to be away from home for the better part of a month, a good deal of it in Japan and Thailand. We didn't want to carry our everyday phones, and carrier restrictions made it infeasible to do so anyway, but we still wanted the ability to access the internet for information, directions/maps, make and/or change travel and accommodation reservations, etc. So we dug out my wife's old unlocked iPhone 3GS and I grabbed a cheap unlocked Huawei android phone off of Amazon, and with these Mobal Unlimited SIMs, we were set.I scheduled the SIMs to be activated while we were still in Hawaii, before sending our everyday phones home with family. They worked perfectly as soon as the activation went through -- a very painless process. We used both phones/SIMs for several days in Hawaii before heading to Japan. After turning our phones back on in Narita airport, we had a small snag: my wife's phone worked great, mine did not. We were able to navigate to our hotel, and once on their WiFi, I contacted Mobal support via the live support chat function on their website, and a wonderful and helpful employee got me straightened out in only a few minutes (the phone had auto-selected the wrong network). After that, we had literally ZERO issues using the SIMs to access data networks for the rest of our trip. Japan, Thailand and even Dubai -- once the phones turned on in the airport, they connected right up and gave us the best speeds the phones and the local network were capable of.I was really impressed. The price, the ease of use, and the support were outstanding. Having that data access made our trip much more relaxed and enjoyable -- I cannot imagine doing it without, and Mobal made it all possible.

LOST MY MONEYThey would enable Literally discriminate me for not knowing the level of English they understand I have to have to use the sim, so I was told and then they confirmed in the email they sent me. I never had this happen with any service in many countries I've been. After many calls paid by me and with the help of my wife is supposed to activate in 3 days and only worked for a few calls. No data.Never worked, just as sim call and already had a cell for this, I could not connect the data or January 1 biteThe first was that I had to call several times at specific times and I was told to return the card because fluid could not speak English with them not that Europeans country. I put my little girl of 13 who is bilingual full and was told that it can not be smaller, we ask that because they need necessarily a credit card I they charged immediately 1 euro if and includes one month unlimited data with the cost shopping and just tell me step by me anything, and is unlimited. And I could not make me active after the shop at Amazon. I made very many calls almost never answered me.The next day my wife talk to them and they sent me an email, it is supposed to activate me three days later and had two days trying to activate me.I RUN ONLY TO CALL WITH A SMALL BALANCE AND already had another phone to call. This is part of the email I received discriminate me:"THEREFORE if you are unable to speak to us Directly, about the issue with activating your SIM card, we would not be reliable to activate the service for you"They never told any of this on Amazon.

Finally a 1) Global and 2) Unlimited Data/Text that actually works!
Finally a Global and Unlimited Data/Text that actually works! In my travels I have tried many different SIM cards for data + voice/text for an unlocked smartphone. They have ranged from spotty to half-working to not working at all: I've tried Vodafone Ireland (APN settings given didn't work fully for MMS text and data), some other global unlimited SIM that I bought on eBay (data was per day and/or MB, and the charges really added up to about $80+ after all was said and done in a 1-week Eastern Europe trip), Three UK SIM (data wasn't unlimited), etc...So I also bought this with some hesitation that it wouldn't work. Did Prime 1-Day shipping a few days before travel departure. Opened it up to find a T-Mobile SIM card... Hmmm, weird, okay... (See note below re: T-Mobile). Followed the instructions to "activate" the SIM on their website. Waited as instructed, and I believe in 24 hours got an email saying it was activated, and a phone number. It was a US phone number with 425 area code (Seattle, Washington). Stuck it in my phone and APN settings surprisingly automatically was configured, but double-checked it to be sure. Turned off WiFi and I was getting 4G LTE on the T-Mobile network. That's good... Tried texting and calling, and it worked. So the real test is when I go abroad...So first country, Germany. Everything works as intended, data, text, voicemail, phone. (BTW, it's nice it comes with voicemail that you can check and someone can leave message on).Next country: Netherlands. OKNext: Belgium. OKFinally: Switzerland: OKBack home to New York: OKSo all-in-all, a card that actually works without messing around with the phone settings and whatnot. It's more expensive than the alternative options I mentioned which I tried. But the price you pay is for a SIM that will actually work as it says it will, and with unlimited data, which these days with so many people with smartphones, is essential. Only downside is that voice calls are not unlimited, but the rates are very reasonable (few pennies per minute) for international long-distance calling (esp. compared to "roaming" on your domestic carrier).I will gladly pay the $59 for it again for the next time I travel.Edit/Addendum: The reason why you are getting a T-Mobile SIM card is because it *is* a T-Mobile SIM and plan that you are getting. T-Mobile has a plan called "Simple Choice" that has unlimited data and text internationally. It offers 2GB of full 4GLTE data & unlimited throttled data, unlimited text and voice in North America. With a US phone number. You can buy this off of T-Mobile online or in their stores for $50/month. However, I believe it requires a credit check and it's not a prepaid service-- while not a contract service, it is a month-to-month post-paid service. So what "Mobal" is doing here is repackaging this T-Mobile plan and reselling it without requiring a credit check and ability to just buy it, use it, and throw it away as any global/roaming SIM card does. So that clears up the confusion why you are getting a T-Mobile branded SIM card with a USA phone number... For an international user without a US credit/social security number, this is a viable option for international use in the USA and globally. For USA users who don't want a credit check or just need something temporarily and not switch to T-Mobile, this is an option. For T-Mobile users, I say, just call up T-Mobile and upgrade/switch to their Simple Choice plan and save yourself the $59 (and keep your US phone number even while roaming globally)...(I dinged 1 star for not being upfront about it being a T-Mobile Simple Choice plan. The photo/graphic in the listing is not what you will be getting. What you'll be getting is a T-Mobile SIM card, not even rebranded as "Mobal" or anything-- just straight up T-Mobile like you would get from their store.)
