Great Read
This is the first book in a series of six books made after the first Lion King movie was released. All of them depict either the adventures of Kopa (Simba and Nala's son) or a story told to Kopa about past events in the Lion King universe. These books, which are geared for children, are an entertaining read for anyone who's a Lion King fan. On the first page of each book there is a list of Swahili words and meanings (often the names of characters that appear in the story). This book contains 61 pages of large print chapters and a handfull of full page illustrations, perfect for new readers. This book is about the origins of Scar's hatred towards Mufasa. Mufasa is the favourite, and better than Scar (originaly named Taka) in every way. Taka decides to hurt Mufasa by angering a Buffalo, but just ends up getting himself hurt, thus recieving the scar he has on his eye.

The untold (supposid) story of scar
Being a huge lion king fan I'm always looking for merchandise for the movie and this book was something I had heard about I was happy to receive it in perfect condition one of the pages was a little bent but it wasn't a big issue the story is good and the illustrations were good the story too ( the story is about the origin story of scar and mufasa) over all I highly recommend.

A Tale of 2 Brothers
This book was so good that I read it three nights in a row from start to finish. I was amazed by how vulnerable the characters were, but that made the story more believable and exciting. The language the characters spoke took some getting used to, but then again those who did most of the speaking were kids rather than adults like they are in the movie (Kopa, Scar and Mufassa). I have loved Rafiki for ages and I enjoyed how much of the story included Rafiki (He is telling the story to Kopa)! I definitely recommend this book. It is a beginner's chapter book, but the story is wonderfully written and engaging regardless of the reader's age.

Beautiful artwork, but terrible translation
I almost want to rewrite this book to save the artwork. The translation was confusing. Too bad. Beautiful book.

Great Easy-Reader
Interesting back story to the movie. It is 8 chapters, 60 pages, with illustrations every few pages. I'm a huge Lion King lover. So when I heard about this series I instantly bought it to read to toddler son. Well, I am enjoying this book so much that I read ahead. Can't wait to finish this book with him and order book number 2.

Cute fairytale
We had an exchange student from Switzerland and to prepare my son we bought books for him to read. This is a cute fairy tale. He enjoyed it and took it into his school to share with his classmates!
