This is a great way to learn the fundamentals of music theory and rhythm musicianship. This book is a classic. It is good for self-teaching but does benefit from a teacher to help illuminate the more difficult topics.

As a professional musician, I highly recommend this book for those with the determination , time and patience to better understand the basics. Take it easy, one bit at a time and you will become a better musician. And thank you to the seller, who provided me with an excellent and clean copy of the book!

I was learning how to play the piano/organ back in the 1960s - by ear. A friend recommended the original Scales, Intervals, and Triads. I seem to have passed this oddity onto my daughter. So I bought this book to help her understand the rudiments of music nomenclature. It's a great book.

The book was just super, but I had to "white-out " some of the answers.

The best self-teaching tool I've seen on music theory. I'm sorry it has gone out of print but even a used edition is worth owning. Every aspiring musician should have this book.

This book was recommended by my daughters music teacher. So far, its a big hit with both of us. I've learned so much from this book. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about learning music.
