Better than I expected
I had wanted a coffee warmer for a while and got this one almost 2 years ago. It was exactly what I needed and more. Unfortunately, I dropped it from my cluttered desk one too many times and now it no longer stays on when I put a mug on it. So I'm getting a new one! In response to a few reviews/questions:1. It's a warmer, not a heater. If you like your coffee scalding hot, this won't help you. It does keep coffee and tea pretty hot for me.2. The heat conductor disc was a surprise, since it wasn't advertised, but it was a game changer as none of my mugs have a flat bottom.3. Make sure whatever you put on it is heat resistant. I used a small ceramic bowl with melted cheese for my nachos and it worked perfectly.4. It gets hot enough to burn skin. Don't touch the glass surface when hot. It has a border around it that allows you to (carefully) move it around.5. To prevent myself from pushing it off my desk (again), I'll be putting some strong velcro under it to keep it in place. It does have four rubber "feet" under it to prevent it from sliding.6. When you lift the mug/cup, the light starts blinking until you put it back on. After a few minutes, it shuts itself off, which is great. I wouldn't want it to stay on for 8 hours...7. Once your mug is empty (or almost empty), I recommend you remove it from the warmer or turn the warmer off. Otherwise the leftover liquid will evaporate and possibly burn the inside of your mug (just like leaving a pot unattended on the stove). All in all I'm very satisfied, which is why I'm buying it again.

Mediocre at best
I bought two of these in November 2020. One was to replace an older version that was a simple on/off version, but that one had a rim around the heating surface, so it would not work with larger mugs. I thought this one would be a decent replacement, but it has been a chore.First, as others have said it does not get very hot. It makes it so it takes longer for things to get cold, and drinks will never get out and out "cold" while using this. However, they won't stay at an ideal hot temperature even at the highest setting.Next, I have had several issues with certain mugs just out and out not registering as being on the warmer. We've tried picking them up and putting them back down, sliding them around, pushing down on them, everything. It just won't sense that there is a mug placed on the warmer, and as such it won't heat. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why some work and some don't.Lastly, after occasional use (maybe once a week on average), one of them has stopped registering any mugs as being placed on it. Multiple mugs tried, and some will work on the other unit but not on this one. So it lasted only just over a year, which is unacceptable.Overall impressions:Pros: When it works, it is convenient and safe since it won't heat when you aren't using it, so no threat of accidental fires or burns. Easy to clean. Minimalistic - doesn't take up much room.Cons: Everything else. Doesn't heat up hot enough when used. Can be difficult to get the unit to recognize a mug is placed. Does not last.Final thoughts: Do not buy, look elsewhere.

Wonderful, until it wasn't!
I purchased this mug warmer on 2/23/21 and was very excited to use it. For almost exactly a year, it worked perfectly. I loved that I can change the setting to always be on rather than having it turn on when I place my mug on its surface (which is a feature that didn't work all that well; it requires a fair amount of force to realize that you've set a mug on it). I also like that it has two temperature settings, so that I can turn it down when I get near the end of my cup and not burn my coffee. So I was enjoying hot coffee every day, until one day I took a sip and my coffee was cold! The light was on, but the warmer was not. Very sad. I have contacted the manufacturer to see if they can do anything about replacing the unit. It would stink if this is something that only works for a year (of daily usage) before you need to replace it.Edit to add: I contacted the seller and they replaced the unit free of charge. Wonderful customer service. I increased my rating to 5 stars as a result.

Keeps my coffee warm and doesn't get in the way
I bought this to use in the home office to keep my coffee warm while I work. I've used it for roughly a week now.Features:Its easy to use and does keep my drink warm. It has some no-slip feet to keep it from sliding around and the top is a glass material that can handle a spill and can be wiped clean. The single button allows me to select a few temperature options although I haven't used the "Low" setting, there wasn't a need. Best feature is the cup sensor which senses when my cup is on the pad and will turn the device off if I forget and leave it on. It also comes with a small heat slug that can be attached to the bottom of a mug with a recessed bottom to facilitate better heating of my coffee. My mugs do have a small recessed area on the bottom but I didn't see a need to use the heat slug.Disadvantages:I did have it turn off on me a few time while on a conference call due to me holding my coffee cup for a few minutes while I was on the phone. This is not really a big deal, one button press and it's back on.Style:The product is basically a coaster with a 5ft wall plug attached to it. It stands about 1/2 off the table and comes in a relatively generic black color that blends right in with any other tech gadget.
