Luminarc Working Glass 16-Piece Assorted Glass Tumbler Set

I am compelled by the quality of this set of drinking glasses to share the unique combination of solid, hefty, and comfort this product has. The weight of each glass is substantial, such that adults will appreciate the feel of drinking from an old-fashioned soda fountain kind of product. The lip of the glasses is rounded to deliver an extremely comfortable edge to drink from. The fluted design for the sides is sufficient to aid in grip and detention. The assorted set of both sizes is a practical combination that re-established our daily usage for quality and convenience. They arrived professionally packed. It is refreshing to find quality and price that equal value like this!

This is a great deal. I use these glasses in these two sizes like crazy for food prep and food storage (like to avoid plastic for the latter.) One reason they are so great is that they are wide enough for my immersion stick blender to easily fit ... that makes easy work of a range of food prep tasks. They are tempered glass so hot liquids are not an issue. And, it is easy enough to find the snap on lids that makes these great for storage (no, those lids do not come with, but I don’t have an issue with that ... for one, those lids come in both red and white, so it would be order-fulfillment hell for them to try and keep up with supplying different tastes, and with that, up goes the price.)And even though we have a lot of beverage glasses, for some reason we wind up using these a lot for beverages as well. I like to brew my ice coffee in one, using an ice-filled one of these glasses with my k-cup coffee maker brewing a 6oz coffee directly onto the ice (for the record, brewing strong hot coffee over ice like that to get iced coffee is called “the Japanese method” ... it’s really good and works like a dream in these glasses ...). Also use them for summer ice water, ice tea etc. They hold a good amount and being wide and straight-sided, they don’t knock over easily.And ... this price (at time of purchase in Summer, 2020) is AWESOME!!! (I know, because I have been buying them for years per piece at higher prices ... )

I love these glasses. They're heavy and made of a thick glass that truly holds up. I wasnt stoked to have to purchase so many of them at once but I put the extras in storage and plan on using them for backups if any of them break. I have been using mason jars as drinkware for years and loved that I could use them for storage when needed or just screw a cap on and transport them easily without fear of anything leaking. I decided I wanted to invest in nicer glasses but still wanted something I could easily transport. You can purchase lids for these glasses that allow you to do just that!I will say I wish they came with lids but those can easily be purchased separately!

Heavy, durable and wash well

Also ordered the available lids which makes this set superior to others. Not only are they beautiful beverage glasses but you can store your works in progress. The small ones are an awesome 14 oz. and also serve as prepared fruit salads, gelatins, etc. While having matching larger sizes the 21 oz. allows room for ice and an ample sized ice tea, etc. At first the size and weight almost put me off to returning these but then the possibilities and practicality allowed within this set sold me. I love these glasses and recommend them to anyone needing beverage service ware with storage capabilities. With a farm house style these are more than casual everyday glasses: they work! I am unsure whether my dishwasher runs too hot so I turned down the hot water heater. These glasses are better than most but ALL OF THEM tend to crack and chip along the rim. The off-brands are the very worse! Luminarc has lasted longer along with another brand. Would avoid off-brands and not subject them to too much heat in dishwasher, perhaps.

I got these for my dad to replace the thin crappy ones he had and I was shocked when I opened it to check them to see how thick they were and my dad loves them because they have a wide rim to help him be able to wash the cups and actually fit his hand in them!

Such convenient glasses. Bought them for a great price and had them delivered in a nice box that had enough padding for glassware. They really felt like we got a deal. They’re super convenient when used with lids for lunches (salad toppings like tomatoes and cheese are great in these) and for saving smoothies. I even put a hole in a lid and use a reusable straw for a well priced smoothie to-go glass that I can also use for other things. They haven’t broken or chipped yet, but we have not tried them with hot beverages or in the microwave.
