WiFi Range Extender

After having this for about 6 months, I have to say I’m not impressed. It loses signal a lot for no reason. If you unplug and then plug back in, it will I’ll begin working again, but I have to do this a couple times a day. It does extend the signal, but is a pain. I ended up plugging it into a timer and have it power off and back on a couple times each day to try and correct the problem.It takes a minute to understand what the instructions are actually telling you to do. I wish non-English speaking countries would pay someone whose native tongue is English to translate the instructions for them. Here is what I came up with:1. Plug the unit in at a spot where you still get signal from your router, but have trouble beyond that point. Then, wait 90 seconds.2. Go to your Wi-Fi settings on your phone and connect to Anthter-2G or Anthter-5G.3. Go to your internet browser on your phone and enter this exactly 192.168.10.1 and enter "admin" as the password. Then click SET PASSWORD. The repeater will be connecting to the router for about 45 seconds.4. Under your Wi-Fi settings you will now see two new options with the name of your current network followed by -5G or-2G. For example: Original name is Bob's House-5G, the repeater will be named Bob's House-5G-5G. Click on that one, then enter your password for your home router and voila, you are connected.What your phone will now do is switch between the router or the repeater as you move around the house to whichever one is stronger.I hope that helps.The item works great once you get it setup.

Instructions too small type face. Installed ok but had a little trouble finding right web site.... once I did was a snap. Concern: works well, but runs very hot..... how long will it last? Update..... not long. 20 March lost it. Signal indicator light is off. Lost wps connection. When turn on signal light shows red. After a while it shuts off. Wps indicator is steady blue. unit is too small to use as doorstop. Any ideas. Update to update........tried again.....was directed to supplier website.... using modem password, recovered system..... all working well again! Have 3 nice blue lights on the device!

I was looking for an extender with at least 1 gigabit Ethernet port but - my bad - I got fooled from messy Amazon adds and rushed to get this one as other advertised features were great. Not only I didn't get what I was looking for but this product didn't deliver what was promised: weak quality connection and very bad form factor when plugged in power outlet.There is no means of accessing it except via WiFi. Again, no Ethernet port.Edit: I lost any means to access or reset this extender. The user guide does not match the product.

I was kind of doubt if it would works because my room is far from the router with wifi and I bought one extender from netgear and didn’t work well. This one has better signal and give me more constant connection while I gaming and watch videos. I thought the set up maybe tedious but works out easy and only 3 step. Only draw back might be the price.Update on June 2020: the internet connection became unstable, constantly disconnected and I have to reset it sometimes. 2 stars off

Junk!Either I’m doing something wrong or this thing is just worthless!It will not maintain a steady connection. When it is connected the data transfer quality is garbage.Look at the photos from my Speedtest. The extended is literally 2 feet or less from the main router and look at the difference.I don’t know how this thing has so many great reviews.Waste of time and money.

Just needed to improve the signal for upstairs TV use in my house. This got the job done.It was a little different from others that I had used in the past. This created a new SSID (adding 2G and 5G onto my existing SSID). Previous one shared the SSID, so was hard to tell which was getting connected to.

Before I bought this WiFi extender I would lose signal several times a day being distant from the router. Now I don’t have anything short of perfect signal. Easy to install and have had no issues at all any more. For phones and laptops it might not be as important, for gaming this is the ticket

This thing is worth its weight in gold. Definitely sped up my wifi signal and increased strength throughout my house. Would recommend! **UPDATE** After some days of use it started disconnecting by itself unexpectedly at random times throughout the day. Will be returning.
