Does it walk around the room remotely or on its own?

No it dose not walk at all. It’s basically a statue that looks like a toy but it has a built in camera. This camera is meant to blend in as toy or decorative piece in a room. Basically it stays put as it records whatever is in front of it. So you want to be mindful of where you place it. Depending on how much of an area you want covered.

Does the camera lense stay visible all the time? can it record with "face shield" closed? are there led lights, and if so, can they be turned off?

yes, the IP camera can record with "face shield" closed it has IR led lights, It will automatically turn on at night or when the light is weak. It doesn't need to be turned off. People's eyes can't see it. Thank you

Was working but now it's not i held down the reset button and it won't turn on at all now. tried several times won't even turn on. what can i do?

I loved this little robot Camera. It also stopped working and I reset it alot of time but I guess he isn t coming back to life so sad

Motor stopped working after a few uses

Very fragile. The motor that runs the head stopped working after only a few uses. Sadly past the return window for us but not worth the dollars paid for it.
