I've had plastic ones in the past and they break. So I was looking for a better product. I had to hunt long and hard to find something like this with a whole that's small enough so the chord doesn't just slide through it even within knot on it and this seemed to be the one with the smallest hole. I also wanted to be careful to find something that didn't have sharp edges that over time would sheer or cut through the chord slowly little by little with every pool on the cord. Was this you get the Acorn which you screw together and you thread your cord through the holes and tie a knot. I found that even though this was supposed to be the smallest hole I could find it was still slightly too big for my chord with a knot not to slip through so I had to double the cord up and then tie a knot in it to make a bigger knot and that seems to work. With this came a small metal piece also to use if you have a metal beaded cord. Or you could use it to tie your cord onto and put that inside the little Acorn that you screwed together if you wanted to be sure that it didn't pull out through the hole in the Acorn. The trouble was using that little metal piece to put inside the Acorn is that the edges of that were quite sharp so I could imagine that shearing or cutting through the cord slowly over time so I decided just to thread the cord through the hole and double the chord up to tie a knot so it didn't go through the hole as I felt that would be more secure in the long term. Time will tell how long this one lasts. My only other concern apart from it's shearing the chord every time it's pulled is in case in the bathroom where I'm using it the threads become corroded so that they locked and you can't unscrew it in the future if you need to open it up for any reason. Lastly I was sorry that I couldn't find this in the color white. Hope that helps!!

Easy to use as connector to broken light pull. Good weight to the connector and works well. Great to have a few spares too in the pack.

Good quality products received on time. Would have preferred to buy a similar product with a 5mm hole to accommodate 4.5mm bead chain, but none seem to be available so had to improvise.

Unfortunately these were not suitable. I wanted to use on a Roman blind cord connecting four cords at one end with one at the other. Therefore I needed connectors with a large hole at one end and a smaller hole at the other end. The holes on these are small at both ends.

The plastic things that connect my bathroom light pulls snapped. I bought these instead. They are great, do the job well and look nicer than the white plastic ones. Right size for thinner cord, I originally bought larger ones by mistake and they were designed for bigger cord or several cords together. These are just right
