Good mid-height boot.
I bought this boot to replace a larger tall boot supplied by my doctor following Achilles surgery 7 weeks earlier. It is fairly comfortable. It is also more compact than the other, making it less heavy and easier to maneuver getting in and out of vehicles. The fit seems good, i wear a 12.5 wide and the large fit well. The main design change I would suggest is to add a bit of extra vertical padding in the back on both sides of the Achilles. Currently, a strap near the top comes around the back and can put pressre on the top of the Achilles so I try to not over tighten that strap.

Great Walking Boot
I fractured my fifth metatarsal bone on my right foot. My orthopedic doctor told me to stay off my foot for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks my doctor said I could start doing limited weight bearing around home in a walking boot. This boot has been an excellent choice and excellent fit. My foot is well protected. Before I started weight bearing, I had a significant amount of swelling in my foot. Within a day of using this boot the swelling in my foot was almost completely gone and my foot is feeling significantly better. It has been a joy to be able to get around on two feet with no pain and no longer needing to use my knee scooter.

Decent boot for broken big toe
I went to urgent care yesterday morning for a suspected broken big toe. When the doc confirmed that the toe was indeed broken, he wrote me an RX for a CAM Walking Boot. Since my insurance wouldn't cover it, I decided to simply purchase off of Amazon with same-day shipping (no RX needed). The boot arrived the same day, and saved me from driving around to medical supply stores to find a boot. While the conventional guidance is that there is nothing that you can do for a broken toe, please check with your doctor! I've broken other toes before, and been left with arthritis because they didn't heal properly. This time I wanted to make sure I was taking every precaution to make sure that I wouldn't have problems in the future.Pros:- Inexpensive. I am sure this is way less than what I would've spent at a medical supply store- Easy to use. The boot isn't complicated, and it's fairly simple to take on and off- Breathable. Because the boot is not fully encased in plastic, it lets your foot breath a little bit. You will still be hot because of the neoprene material though, so don't expect to be too comfortable.- Extra foam and Velcro tabs make this adjustable- It keeps your foot stable so your toes can heel- The neoprene-type cloth that wraps around your foot is hand-washableCons:- It's VERY difficult to get this boot tight enough so that my ankle/foot movement is limited. Like another customer, I had to wrap a dish-towel around my calf several times and then really buckle down the Velcro. If I had known that I would have this problem, I would've purchased a boot that you can pump up with air to tighten the area around your calf/ankle. My quick fix is working, but is making my leg/ankle very warm because of all of the extra layering.- Like other customers have mentioned, the sizing is challenging. I am a size 6.5 to 7, and purchased the small. The boot is a good 2 inches too long for me. My toes do not come close to touching the end of the boot.Things that are beyond this boot's control...- Anytime you wrap up your foot you will be hot. Anytime your foot gets hot, it will probably sweat and be uncomfortable. I'm definitely uncomfortable, but I know it's not the boot's fault.- Having a foot injury is awful. This boot is not going to fix all of your problems, but it may help your recovery be less painful.- Walking boots elevate your stance on one leg to be a good 2 inches or so higher than the other. You will be walking like Quasimodo. Find a good shoe for your other foot with a little lift in the heel to balance out your hips and your stride.

Comfortable, well made
Very happy with the product so far. I suffer from chronic Achilles tendonosis and wear a night splint which helps tremendously but can’t walk in it, hence the reason for this purchase. I’m hoping that this brace will help immobilize the ankle somewhat and keep it flexed so that it can heal. The brace appears well made and is very padded and comfortable. I am 5’ 4” and 190lbs so a little chunky but not super big in the leg area. Fits my calf area fine. I wear an 9 to 9 1/2 W in shoes depending on brand and the boot is good width wise and it leaves me at least an inch in length past the toes and my toes are not visible when sock wrap is closed. I probably could have went with a small sz boot and been fine. I have no swelling with my particular issue so there is plenty of room in the boot but not excessively so. It came with 3 very soft pads that can be placed wherever needed to customize comfort. The air bladder functions adequately to help adjust fit. It is comfortable to walk in but will take getting used to as it will change your gait. I can really feel it on outside upper thigh/hip area. Difficult to tell how much immobilization of the ankle there is as far as flexion up and down but I think it’s helping. This would be great for sprained ankle as side to side stabilization is very good.Amendment - have had the boot for a while now and it is so comfy. I can walk well in it. I wear it strictly around the house and it helps keep my foot flexed and tendon stretched which prevents the pain from setting in. Holding up well. I would recommend wearing a shoe with a thicker sole on opposite foot to help balance you out but it’s not much of an issue. I would purchase this product again if needed.Update- had the boot for over three months now and have started wearing it at night instead of my regular night splint because it gives better stabilization (my foot doesn’t slip out) and is more comfortable. I thought the bulk of the boot would be an issue but it hasn’t bothered me. Will definitely buy again when it wears out.
