Cable: USB C to C Cable 100W [5FT, 20Gbps], RIITOP USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 2x2 Cable with E-Marker (Thunderbolt 3 Compatible) Support PD Fast Charge / 4K Video Braided Cord for MacBook Pro, USB-C Monitor, SSDSummary:This cable does not reach 10gbps data transfers, and not even 5gbps, it hardly ever worked - though as input to a powered hub it performed better.  Perhaps I have a bad cable or this cable simply has issues with my common system.  Using other Gen2 cables allows ~960GBps transfers.  I did not test any charging characteristics, only data transfer rates.=== My current test system-Asus Strix Z490-E system, with 3 Type A Gen2 10gbps and 1 Type C Gen2x2 20gbps ports-Samsung 970 Evo Plus and Samsung 950 Pro (and a few other cheaper drives)-Several JMicron USBC adapters/enclosures (I can provide exact models if you need the info)-Massive active cooling on the bare boards and drives (no thermal tape in the way, pure high speed air via 2 push-pull 80mm fans positioned around the adapter board and SSD so as to maintain a steady thermal state-Benchmark Software: AS-SSD and CrystalMark for testing - focus in on the sequential block throughput-Wiring: I am not using an external USB hub, just the cable to the adapter/bridge and SSD=== My opinion on USB 3 Gen2 10gbps cablesUSB 2 Gen2 cables are a hit-or-miss technology at this time (TB3 seems to be more consistent, and of course more expensive).  I feel that certified cables with the active chips seem to perform better.  Shorter cables seem to perform better.  The longer the cable (especially over 3ft) the more inconsistency (I have one 6ft Gen 2 cable that works in my system, and have sent back a few others).  You can have perfect hardware (several varieties) and an expensive USB Gen2 cable may not perform, while a cheaper 1ft-3ft cable performs just fine.  Only an expert in this specific field (USB 3 Gen 2) could shed light on these inconsistency issues.  Proper cable shielding is required to obtain 10gbps.  There is no way to hit 10gbps with a very flexible cable.  Stiff cables transfer movements to the connector and thus a perfect connector design (both sides) is necessary, else a slight movement will jiggle the cable - no getting around this - so many vendors involved in the average system.=== About MeI am a 30-year+ software developer that has worked with a lot of high-end high-performance hardware.  I don't take testing lightly, but I can't develop a laboratory for testing these cables (not my area).Please take my review for what it is worth based on the info above.  Perhaps this cable works fine on most other systems  I can only speak to what I have seen with my hardware, as listed above.If anyone feels that I have not performed my tests fairly, please let me know.  I'll be glad to re-test and even provide a video.Good luck

I bought this cable to use with a Type C USB 3.1 Gen 2 hard disk dock. The dock works at rated speed with the 3 foot USB C cable that came with the dock. My PC doesn't even recognize that the dock is connected using this cable. I also connected a portable SSD to my PC with this cable and it does connect at the rated speed. The maximum cable length specification for USB 3.1 Gen 2 is "less than 1 meter" (~3 ft or less). This is the second brand of 5ft cable I've purchased claiming to provide USB 3.1 Gen 2 speed and failed, although the first connected the dock at USB 2 speed. I've concluded that going over 3ft will be hit or miss and have rearranged my hardware to work with a 3ft cable.

I purchased this cord for the sole purpose of using it for my oculus quest I have been using it regularly for about a week and I have no complaints it seems durable and gives the green light for linking the oculus quest to a compatible PC. There's no way I'm spending $70 on a "oculus" USB cable this one works just fine. Also I will confirm that it supports the charging function simultaneously with use.

This cable is great! This cable can really do it all and really exemplifies why USB C is so awesome! I've used it to charge my MacBook Pro, move data from my PC to an external SSD and to power an external display, all to great success. I like the red color and the braided cable; I wish they made a 10ft version of this cable so I can replace my MacBook Pro's default charging cable.In all, if you need a 6ft USB C cable, this is the one to buy! 5/5!

My wife used it to connect a portable USB monitor to her laptop, and it worked well, but developed a short that shuts both the laptop and the monitor off if bumped at all.

I purchased this cable to connect my Sabrent USB-C NVM-E https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-EC-NVME-Aluminum-Enclosure-Nvme/dp/B07K4TZQ7D enclosure to my 2019 16" MacBook Pro. The cable appears to be well built and sturdy, and is performing as expected. I may buy another just to have a spare, as USB-C is just now making its way into our home.

I used a USB C power meter to compare wattage carried by this cable compared to the included Samsung Note 10+ cable. This cable matches the included Samsung cable's power (around 24 watts). The E-Marker chip is what makes this possible.

Awesome sturdy cable, it ended my woes with the cable came with Targus USB3 DV4K DOCK w PD100W.I used to get video disconnection with original Targus cable, came to point to trash Targus and as a last resort I ordered this cable, since then my video connection is bullet proof.
