Michael Greger Collection 3 Books Set (How Not To Die, The How Not To Die Cookbook, How Not To Diet [Hardcover])

Brilliant resources for curious minds and palates
The 2 reference books are large and dense, but if that's the sort of thing that would normally put you off, fear not: they're clearly written in terms that we laypeople can understand, with each chapter properly footnoted and referenced for those who like to go to the source material while also being perfectly understandable without having to flip back and forth between the current page and the notes. They're excellent resources for dipping into, either for a quick fact check or to simply enjoy. If you're genuinely interested in food and are not fond of diet books telling you to buy specific branded products that the author gets money for advertising, this bundle's for you. Dr Greger's keen to point out that you can get really great nutrition on a small budget by eating whole plant foods and the cheapest possible sources of B12 and DHA, and simply tells you what to look out for and why when reading labels. No pressure to go out and buy specific brands or special equipment - just eat food. And the cookbook's pretty damn good, too. At base, the recipes are just downright tasty, but if that's not good enough for you, they come with info on why they're healthy. The pictures are beautiful without being unrealistic, and the recipes are easy to follow. There's even a menu planner.Good stuff.
