A Successful Classroom
This book is full of ideas and lessons to do in a classroom at different times of the year. I love all of Mr Glavac’s lessons and fill in the blank pages since these could be used in different grade levels.

Great book for the new teacher!
If you are new to teaching or looking to improve your craft, this book is jam-packed with ideas of how to be a thoughtful teacher, how to prepare for teaching, and finding ways to connect with your students. It gives problems that may arise as well as ideas to cope with those trying situations. It is full of direct instructional templates to help a newer or more developed teacher in many different areas. I think the ice breakers and getting to know your students is very helpful and I will be implementing many of these ideas in my own classroom. The book is well laid out, giving you the resources needed to promote a safe and healthy classroom culture. It provides the teacher with many different ideas and resources. I really enjoyed the content of this book and its usefulness for all teachers. I wish I had this to read when I began my teaching career.

Turn your scholars in waiting into scholars!
I loved this book! From day one through last day of school, Marjan sequentially and thoughtfully lays out a path to success for all kids. I read online and it was easy to follow, clear, concise format and contents, voila! I loved all the Next Steps, Templates, ready-to-go classroom activities and extensions. I could see this book in education courses, book clubs, district professional development and in-school discussion groups. Marjan, an experienced educator makes teaching look so easy, with concrete, plain talk about what works and how to do it. All in one book, you learn about goal setting, building relationships, rules and procedures, building trust, planning, etc. I enjoyed his "Boredom Busters" and incentive ideas. Whether novice or veteran, I'd add this book to the top of your professional reading, one chapter at a time makes a big difference in the learning lives of your students. You'll see! Mrs. Rita M. Wirtz, M.A.

Should be required reading for all educators
I am a retired educator having been a twitter friend of Marjan for well over ten years. I feel that this book should be read before entering the elementary classroom; after your first day and again after your first year. This book tells a heartfelt story about the realities of today’s classrooms. Thank you
