I wanted my A3 8P with the stock concert (non-Bose) system to get an upgrade. This looked promising, so I bit the bullet and grabbed it for $300. What I like about this unit is that it's custom made to fit on the A3. The screen takes up the whole space, more than a standard double DIN would. It is also plug and play (it does come with multiple cables and plugs, which you only use if it's applicable to your car). It comes with a CANBUS box, so the steering wheel controls work perfect, and the station displays near the tach display. As far as sound goes, it sounds on par, if not better, than the concert system. Android Auto works great. And if you connect to your phone's hotspot, you pretty much have a tablet in your car. It doesn't fit as secure as other units onto the dash--it sort of wedges in, but comes out easily with just a little bit of force (not a big problem unless you drive your car hard). It also has a few quirks, like the volume settings are somewhat off. But this can pretty much be fixed by logging onto the system settings (using code 8878) and adjusting the "admin" values. All in all, a good deal and a great product.

Got this one for my daughter’s Audi A3 replacing the original unit.Connection was straightforward, had to use a harness for the rear speakers and sub to work, my only disappointment is that I was never able to have CarPlay to work in wired mode, it only works in wireless which I find weird.Sound is good but too many sound settings to play with and not easy to reach Optim warm sound quality and descent base, most of the time you end up with too much base or lack of loudness. In my own car, I just leave the sound settings as « bypass » given I have good source quality.Overall. Good unit, fits well the car dashboard.

I installed the XTRONS 8 Inch Android 9.0 Car Stereo in my 2007 Audi A3. It was easy to pull out my old Bose double din radio and hook up the XTRONS using the supplied cabling adapter. Unfortunately, I experienced a "hiss" through the speakers so I contacted XTRONS. They were very responsive and quickly sent out a new adapter cable with line in/out filters to remove the "hiss". It worked perfectly and now sounds great. The radio is a big upgrade over the aged stock unit. Bluetooth works great, the unit is fast and is customizable. I also bought the XTRONS Car Auto Play Mini Dongle USB Android Auto Receiver Adapter. Instructions for setup could have been a bit better but I was able to get everything set up and working with the head unit. Overall, XTRONS was great to work with and very responsive. I'm very happy with the new radio in my A3 and it the fit and finish matches the interior of the car. It looks like it should have been there from the start. It's great to now have modern technology in a 13 year old car.

I was really skeptical to order since these are solely built in the UK and shipped from the UK, this came from Sha-Tin HongKong, true xtrons unit with their wires etc. definitely worth $300 from amazon vs $399 plus through xtrons personally. I'm happy and would order again

Installation was a breeze. Truely, plug and play. Took me 5 minutes, start to finish. The quality is there and fit and finish was perfect in my 2012 A3 with the stock "concert" system. The launcher theme isn't exactly my cup of tea but that was easily remedied with a different launcher on the play store. Boots quickly and the touch screen response is adequate. Audio quality was as expected without any hissing or rear speaker issues.

Unit responds and boots up fast. Enough space for reasonable amount of music. Has safety features like disabling video playing while driving.Interface is not that great. So am using CarWebGuru Launcher

Static or hissing sound. Talked to their customer service and saying I can buy an adapter to fix it and mentioned that it's the audio system of the car that's causing it. But I don't agree because other A3 8P drivers with the same audio system and installed a different head unit aren't having this hissing sound issue.

The head unit was pretty solid, screen felt quality. Unfortunately I ended up returning it because of the hissing static noise others have mentioned. The unit seemed to have some sort of grounding issue. There would be a constant hissing static noise and when you would touch the screen it would get louder. I doubled check all the wiring, all the grounding was good, the unit itself was the issue.
