Super thick and sturdy mats
I bought these mats for under the gym equipment I bought while in isolation at home due to the coronavirus. I really wanted a treadmill but we have downstairs neighbors and I worried about the sound, so I bought these extra thick 3/4” mats instead of the usual 1/2” or 3/8”. They are very soft and thick, and took less than 30 minutes to set up, including trimming a couple of end pieces to make inside corners. They seem tough, but were easy enough to cut with scissors. I didn’t try to line up the pattern but it isn’t really noticeable, IMO.I have used the treadmill to walk and jog (the belt is too short for me to feel safe running on it), with no complaints from the neighbors. My husband put his power cage and weight rack on the mats and they didn’t tear and don’t seem to be compressing too much where the legs sit. They are also really comfortable for floor exercises, and I usually have to double or triple up on gym mats because my spine protrudes from my back and I end up with a lot of weight directly on my vertebrae.Pro:-Very thick and sturdy-Every mat fits any other mat-Came with corner trim for neat corners-Non-slip texture-Doesn't hurt my toes much when I repeatedly trip over the edge-Damaged tiles can be replaced without having to replace the whole floor (looking at you, cat)Con:-Strong smell at first - 90% dissipated after a couple of days with windows open-Textures only match up if you put them together in proper order (I don’t care, but you might)-Greater thickness makes it easier to trip over if you are used to thinner matsOverall I recommend these mats, especially if you live in an apartment and have downstairs neighbors.

Plan before assembling
We bought two (2) packages of these (48 tiles total) and used 42 to create a 12' x 14' workout space in our (before COVID) formal living room. These were placed over a hardwood floor for two purposes: protecting us (padded) and protecting the floor (shield from sweat and scuffing.)Please note that we like these tiles however:1. They are a bit uneven in appearance. Not color, but sheen -- some are noticeable more matte in appearance. If you're OCD on having a uniform appearance you'll want to unpackage them all, spread them out and plan how you're putting them together. Note when you're doing this that they are not reversible. If you flip one over, it will not interlock the rest. In the end, we decided we didn't care that much.2. They are not perfectly the same thickness. A few had some thickness variation (<3/32") that we noticed and played around with placement to try and get as smooth a transition between tiles as possible. Perhaps use and time would make them all uniform, but we chose to reposition a few to try and ensure there were no raised edges to catch a shoe on or to be noticeable to a barefoot.3. When placed on a wood floor they slide. We've ended up with anti-slip rug padding to keep them set in place. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MFR6ZUU) The slip was disconcerting, though not dangerous in our case, but that bit of slide, would, over time, scuff the floor beneath. This moderated the excellent buy of this product a bit and would be completely unnecessary if either you have something on top of it (equipment) or were cutting it to completely fill an area from wall to wall.Overall, they're a pleasure to be on when barefoot, they are lightly "slippy" in socks, and feel like they will be durable to sneakers as long as you're not spending a lot of time doing pirouettes.

Cushy, easy to put together, a little slick
This mat is very comfortable with plenty of cushion. It works great as an exercise mat providing plenty of space for floor exercises like crunches and yoga. We have all the pieces together filling almost 10'x10' space. Super easy to put together, I really liked the border pieces. They give a polished, finished look.We still put a yoga mat down on top to povide better grip. The mats are a little slippery, but not too bad. This slickness can also let the mat slide on the floor. We have it on our concrete basement floor, and the whole thing can slide out of position. It's easy to put back where we want it.Another nice thing about it on the basement floor the insulation factor. Its much warmer than working out on just a yoga mat on the concrete. One annoying thing I've noticed is it can generate static when doing floor exercises in synthetic fabric exercise clothes. I haven't noticed it as much when wearing cotton or cotton blends.I would not put heavy equipment on top of it due to the cushy thinkness. I think a thinner stiffer mat would be better for that kind of use.It would have been better if it came with one more square to make an even 100 square feet. My exercise area is one square short of filling the whole space. It's purely an aesthetic thing though.

Great quality and a good buy for the amount of floor coverage!
Surprised by the quality of the mat and how easy the pieces fit together. The fact that these are 3/4 in thick makes a huge difference in the quality and after 1 month they appear to be holding up quite well. My weight bench is very heavy and there are no indentions in the surface of the mats plus I've dropped the 50lb dumbbells on the mats with no damage so far. As you can see in the pics the flooring can be configured to fit your workout area and the coverage in the pic is 12' x 16'. The floor coverage was great for the amount of money spent, ordered 2 sets for $270! The equivalent coverage with the more expensive brands with so so reviews were several hundreds of dollars higher. The only thing that may bug some is the color variations in some of the tiles, not a big issue for me. Highly recommend if you want to get a great workout floor and save some serious money.
