Book of Genesis - Alabaster Bible

I just love all of the alabaster company books of the Bible. The colors are so beautiful. The images are so peaceful it’s very thoughtful designed. The quality of the pages is perfect. Highly recommend.

I got this one for my mom for Christmas not the whole set just Genesis. She loved it! I love finding books like this.

I was given this book as a gift from a coworker. I have only thus far looked at each photo in order. I’m very familiar with the flow of the Genesis narrative and the stories within it so I saw the individual choices of the photos as interesting and often touching. I enjoyed especially the use of cut flowers to represent individuals and family lines. Using contemporary objects while ensuring their timelessness through filters and other photographic effects (eg, cityscapes to represent some kingdoms) was surprisingly well done. I really applaud these artists for doing this. I’ll be giving these books to others now that I’ve tasted this work. Thank you David for this piece of art reflecting God’s creativity.

Genesis. In the beginning. We all know the story. But as many times as I have read this special book of the bible, I have never read it like this. The visuals that Alabaster has curated for this release are stunning! Invoking a refreshing perspective on words I’ve read a hundred times. It’s easy to get so carried along our our journey that we forget where we started. But reading through the book of Genesis in this lush, picturesque, cohesively artistic way has reminded me no matter where life takes us, the importance of coming back to the garden is essential. To that moment where God breathed his very life into us. into us his beloved children. Us, his created. We were made in His image and given the beautiful gift of creativity, and that message is leaping off of these pages. Alabaster consistently delivers fresh content for hungry hearts and hungry imaginations, and this release is no exception! Coming back to the beginning in the garden, where creation was formed, is essential to our purpose here on this earth. Genesis is by far one of my very favorite books of the Bible. Alabaster has taken God’s Word with exceptional imagery and brought the creation of the world to life!Reading through Genesis with the pairing of visuals makes me feel like I’m living in the story as it unfolds. There’s a sense of authenticity when you read the Word paired with visuals. I get lost in the photos reading the Word all the while taking me to a deeper understanding of scripture.The image of Jesus’ sandal was impactful for me, as I have a pair of these myself and am reminded of him walking with me each step I take in these shoes.
