Excellent product for preserving the cardboard artwork. I use these mostly for my SACDs.

The plastic is thin, but if you're patient and don't jam the CD into the bag, it works just fine. I used it to protect a Japanese Billy Joel double CD with obi strip and all went well.

One of my Master's degrees is in libraries and information science. Even though I had a twenty-four years plus career as an academic reference librarian, I was, by temperament, more an archivist. You know, "In the future, everything will eventually be important, needed, or necessary." So, I advise wrapping all cd-based items with cardboard packaging in one of these cellophane envelopes where they will be safer for their trip into “the Future".These babies are durable, capacious, and relatively inexpensive. I know cd-based artefacts are "old hat" in a streaming universe. The cloud-based musical documents (including music CDs) are the artefacts that will remain, while the icloud's ephemera may be lost forever in a young-adult, post-apocalyptic dystopian future (See: I really was a librarian.)If you like CDs, you should love these envelopes.

Cheaper Quality, only option I found

While I cannot speak to the durability of this item because this is my first application, I will comment by sharing my 1st impression. Minimally packaged and very affordably priced plus the surprise of an overnight delivery (as opposed to the expected two-day delivery) deserve recognition. The cello bags open on the side as opposed to the top. There is an adequate strip of adhesive to seal each bag. The double is a roomy double and I found it to be a very valuable attribute especially if the Double CD package was a bit oversized itself. So, as a consequence of this experience, I am happy to give a "Highly Recommended" endorsement.
