Can we talk?
The famous Jew, Joan Rivers, used to say, "Can we talk?" before she'd launch into a joke about being candid about something. Can we talk about gelt?I don't think Hanukkah gelt has every been my favorite chocolate. It's usually way too sugary and waxy to really be very good. It's like Christian Easter chocolate. Honestly terrible. So keep your expectations realistic. The reason I'm giving these gelt coins five stars is that they are just like the gelt I grew up with, and they have the beautiful embossed gold foil. For that, they are the perfect chocolate gelt coins.I got two boxes of these for all the students at my son's school during a Hanukkah presentation and for playing Dreidel. The kids loved them. Just be aware they are not for kids with a dairy or nut allergy.

It’s a scam
I don’t write reviews but this time I will so people don’t get scammed. I paid $27 for 4 of the 6 mesh bags and it was not worth it. The quality and taste was very poor. On top of that the image they have is very misleading as the image they have displayed for the 6 mesh bags product has way more than 6 bags. The image I’ve attached is the true amount.

Holiday treat; chocolate gelt.
I sent several bags of candy and goodies to a nursing home, which puts together a Christmas sale where the residents make crafts and sell bundles of craft items and candy in a holiday sale to raise money for medical research, or a local food pantry or other good cause. They tell me that the goodies were popular, and everything sold out. I’m glad I got the best butterscotch. I could find to send to these people. Also, the candies are often bought by people stuck in the nursing home, who cannot go outside shopping for goodies. I like to think that they got to enjoy the best chocolate gold coins I could find.

just like when I was a kid!
No, this is not gourmet chocolate... but it's exactly what my Nana would give me every year when I was a child (late 70s/early 80s), and for that, I love it! Taste and texture are good, and the Hebrew lettering stands out in a time where most gelt you see around is just made to look like generic gold coins.

Chocolate Coins
I ordered these for a candy bar for a birthday party. The chocolate had a whitish "film" as if they were old. Kids still liked them.

I don't know how this product has 4 stars
You get very little coins for the price and they were so old for a second I thought they were white chocolate. Honestly want my money back.
