Very nice product for the price. I had a SWAN system I had bought 5 years ago from walmart, paid 100 more for it and only had 4 cameras. But 12 cameras and HD for 100 less was something I could not pass up. Was not to hard to set up, took me about a day, and lots of attic time running wires. The zoom is Awesome, the night vision is clear and works great. Field of view is massive. You can set up to alert you of motion, via the app and a audible alarm on the DVR, and have the system display that camera full screen. We have it set up on our front door to alert us of someone at the door. The only thing I have left to figgure out is having it record only on motion. ATM it records all the time, which is fine, 1tb is alot of storage space. I absolutely recommend this product.

I wanted to purchase a spare camera for my security system but they don't make them anymore. I found this online but the price was cheap and I thought it would be a piece of junk, but I thought for 20.99 I would give it a shot and if it turned out to be junk, I only wasted 20.99. Well I was surprised, as it turns out. First, it metal, my Lorex cameras are plastic. The color and clarity are just fine. The night vision they said would be great to 100 feet, forget that, 30 feet is more like it, but for my purposes, it's just fine covering my rear patio door. It's been operating at an average temperature here in Phoenix at 115 degrees for the last week and all is well so far. I will order another in about another week if this holds up. I would have given it 5 stars but for the strap that hold it for up & down. The screws are so small and where so tight it was a real problem getting them lose for adjustment.UPDATE:So I ordered another camera and it came within a couple of days, but it was defective, had red, green and blue lines going thru it. I sent it back and asked for a replacement. It also came within the same week I sent the defective camera back. The new camera is working fine just like the first one I brought. If you order these cameras, be sure to test them out before keeping them.

These cameras are great for the price. I replaced my brand new Night Owl cameras that came with the DVR kit I bought after Thanksgiving. Color quality is better, wider viewing angle, better night vision coverage and clearer image, what is there not to like? For an inexpensive system that is not the latest whiz bang new device, these perform very well. I still have 3 remaining Night Owl cameras that are functional, but have no intention on using them. Great delivery with Amazon and easy install. I am no camera expert and this is my first install of one of these DVR units with cameras, it was easy to figure out how to hook them up, (thanks YouTube). Just be sure that any camera you buy is for the correct DVR system, as I tried to replace the first defective original manufacturer camera with one purchased at the local Best Buy store, but they were for HD DVR's only. Thankfully Amazon had these online for 1/2 the price of the OEM equipment and it is ten times better for my application.

The camera works fine, but the screws on the mount for adjusting the tilt and rotation of the camera body cannot be loosened. If the camera can't be pointed where you want it, it's useless. Very disappointing.

This is a pretty cheap camera. I was going to put out a dummy but found this inexpensive camera and figured I'd give it a shot. I have the camera under my soffet where it is protected from the rain, and heat from the sun.It has great daytime clarity! And the night vision turns night into day. Although the night vision is in gray scale, it is way better than I expected. I must say though that I have a street light at the end of my driveway, so it's not the ir leds that are providing the light ... they don't go as far. But the low light sensitivity of the camera was a delightful surprise.I can see things at night beyond my natural vision ... see in the dark, all the way across the street. Very happy. I wanted to have a longer range lens though, so I bought one on Amazon, but the original lens was glued in. So I emailed support to see if they had a camera with a 16mm lens, sadly they didn't and don't sell a camera that has a replaceable lens.

Installation went well Camera quality is good as long as you remember to switch the cameras to 1080p at the cameras after power up (default is 960)Local software is good .Remote live viewing is good.If you are going to install your DVR near where you are going to view/review recordings this system works well.That is where the 5 star ends. Now for the 0 star part.Remote recorded viewing Is Horrible. Remote live viewing is fine .No webserver built in to unit (that I could access anyway).Remote software for pc is ridiculously complicated to set up with very poor functionality (ff rew ). I cannot attest to mobile app as I did not need it. However others reviews suggest it also leaves a lot to be desired.DVR is in a closet on shelf so standing there with a stepstool and a mouse to review recordings isn't going to happen.I have already installed system so returning isn't going to happen. Ordered a different DVR.If your DVR is going to be located where you will be accessing recordings directly, I recommend this system based on price/features.If you plan on locating the DVR in a remote location. You might want to consider some other options.

I have used these cameras now for the past five years. I have only replaced about three of them and I have eight . They last for a good bit of time.
