Learning through Exploration, Engineering, Inventing!
Some reviews say this product is over-hyped, I say NOT.I first was introduced to BluTrack at a children's event at a Science Museum Booth used to teach potential and kinetic energy. I was very impressed and decided to purchase it for Christmas this year. I have three kids who are 5,7,9. Two have already tested high on the gifted scale, so their brains are always thinking, building, manipulating, creating. We had never owned a car track such as Hot Wheels because they are not open ended enough for my kids. With those sets you can build the set track following instructions and then watch the cars go, that's it. They have been exposed to such sets at friends houses, and they just didn't dig it. Those sets just don't hold their attention. They would have been done playing with it in one second not to mention how long it would take to assemble correctly or pick up when they are done, or how much space it would take up if you decided that assembly took too long to just take it down. Some use batteries, and are an automatic sit and watch toy that parents build, and the kids watch. My kids are more exploratory in nature and thus I knew Blu Track was the better product for them.I like it for following reasons.1. Durable2. Open Ended, no rules!3. Easy Clean Up4. No Batteries or Electronics!5. Encourages Exploration and EngineeringThe suction cup was awesome to use on the windows. So fun! When visiting people see it they say "WOW that is so cool" The kids have used chairs, various boxes, tunnels, stuffed animals, and more to make various tracks and trails so far. Pinterest can be helpful to spot new ways of looping the tracks but so far I have not shown my kids these and have just let them explore on their own. Once they have exasperated all their own ideas, I will show them something new to try. They have played with it various times already since Christmas. I love that it is easily rolled up and put back into the box with carry handle. One minute clean up! You won't be able to put hot wheels tracks away that easily.Right out of the box we had no problems making a workable loop using the box as a prop. We have not even had to use the stability loop yet. We have gotten cars to make it to the end of the track no problem and the boys like to make them jump off the end.Yes this product comes with minimal directions, but that is a great thing for kids who like to explore. Exploration and self-discovery leads to deeper learning opposed to just showing them and giving them the "instructions" to answer "What if?". Plus let's face it, it is always the parent who is putting the hot wheels set together for the kid to watch. The whole question "What would happen if..." is a great one for this product as it is so true. Blu Track encourages exploration, it builds stick-to-it-tiveness in my kids. They are not just playing hot wheels, they are inventing and learning!I can see how people who are a bit less "creative minded" might have a harder time with this product say it is over-rated. But to those of you in that boat, there are more and more photos and ideas being posted on Pinterest and I am sure Youtube for people who can't think of their own ideas of how to use it.I am so tired of toys that flash, and beep, and have a zillion breakable pieces and never get played with. If you are a parent who enjoys the simple toys such as wooden blocks, kiva planks, and incorporating other things around the house in toy play such as blanket fort building, the kind of play to that helps kids think outside the box when exploring and discovering their world, Blu Track just fits into this type of play mission statement! It needs to be a part of your world exploration tool box.My 9 year old is excited about the idea to use it in a Rube Goldberg machine type application adding in kiva planks, dominos, and other things around the house. The flexibility of the track is what makes it unlike other products, enabling kids to do things with it, that hot wheels type tracks are not able to do without specialized parts. My boys are planning on using Blu Track for their Science Fair project this year. They can easily record data in a chart about how far the cars they choose roll with putting the suction cup at different heights on the slider window. Simple physics project and easy for my 5 and 7 year old to work on together. Plus if we bring the Blu Track to the science fair I am sure the project will be an automatic hit for viewer's choice. This toy will be at our house for many many years.I wrote this review on my own and do not have any affiliation with Blu Track. I just really like it.

Great race track
I bought this track for my 5 yr old son for his birthday. I needed to also replace the wall track he had which broke. The track is made out of strudy rubber and very long in lenth with two wide lanes that fits both small and large cars. What makes this track a great toy is that the child can create any design, It can be draped over books, boxes, or furniture to create different heights of hills. The track is very simple to set up no need to read the instructions. It comes with a suction cup which can be used to attach one end of the track to the wall to create any level slope. There is also a straight metal flat rod in the package to hold the loops in place. This track is very easy to put away once playtime is over, just by rolling it up and putting it back in the box. If you want to add extra pieces to this track on the box it shows pictures of what those extra items would be. I would recommend this toy, it's worth the amount that it's priced at.

If you kids like Matchbox cars, this is a great addition
It is not as fast as the Hotwheels track because it is not a smooth. The makers obviously sacrifice speed for portability. You can roll it up easily, but the easy rolling means that the track is not 100% smooth. Also, the sidewalls are not as high, so cars sometimes go off the track. Finally, the loops don't work well. Still, it is a great track for racing. You can just put one side on something like a couch, and roll out the rest. It is not really a replacement for the Hotwheels loop track, but more of an alternative. The dual track is great for when you have more than one kid. I think some of the negative reviews are because the overmarketing and expectations. It is not the greatest product ever, but it is a nice, sturdy toy that my kids use almost every day.

Great track and a great toy. 18" is more than enough.
Great track and a great toy. 18" is more than enough.I did a lot of comparison shopping before settling on BluTrack to fulfill my son's birthday request for a race track. It offered side-by-side gravity propelled racing with limitless track configurations and expansions, and compact storage. The width of the track also works with a variety of 1:64 scale cars (including the diecast characters from Cars). BluTrack has so far completely met my high expectations. Most importantly, my son has been thrilled to race his cars. He needs very little help setting up and putting it away. He is quickly discovering how to make single loops and use books and boxes to make jumps and hills and is create obstacles with small wooden & plastic blocks. I'm sure we will be purchasing more track stabilizers and loop ramps as his track designs get more intricate.

This is a great product. My 3.5 yr old son loves his little cars and plays on his own using car road rug. This item works best with his hotwheel cars. I didn't realize it came with a suction cup that is hooked onto one end of the track. Yesterday, we had it set up about 4 ft up the sliding glass door and then made a loop at the end. Was fun to try all his cars out and see which could make it all the way. After I left him to play on his own, he was using his large garbage truck as an ambulance and taking all the crashed cars to the hospital :-) It was a bit difficult to set up the loop de loop, but I think with time we can figure it out and don't really need the additional set for our needs. Also, I like that the track rolls easily back up and fits nicely in the box it came with so we can store it on his toy/bookshelf or carry it to friends houses.

Not that easy to use
Not that easy to use. We have a hard time building tracks that the cars will stay on. Kids do not stay interested for long.
