FANTASTIC PICKUPS!
I purchased these pickups to replace my stock Gibson 57 Classic and 57 Plus. In short, I was rewiring and replacing the pots in them from the stock push-push with split coils to a standard Les Paul. I ran into all kinds of difficulty being that the 57 pickups were four conductor. I contacted Gibson and got the schematics however they still didn't work. So, I purchased the Seymour Duncan APH-2s Alnico II Pro Slash Set Humbucker Pickups. I am very satisfied with these pickups! They sound amazing both clean and when distorted. They are very similar to the stock pickups however the do seem to have more clarity. They are alnico II which is the same as the 57s. I am also very satisfied with the company that I purchased them from. The order and shipping process was excellent! If your looking for a humbucker pickup that sounds clean and clear then I recommend you try these.https://patrickrayl.com

Amazing pickups
When I decided to re-build the first guitar I ever owned, a mid 90s Washburn, I thought it would be fun to try out these slash pickups to replace the original humbuckers. These new ones sound even better than I had hoped! If you're reading this, you're probably looking for a certain sound, and these are it.Tune down to Eb and play every Slash riff you ever learned. These things wail.

AII pros are the best pickup ever made
Alnico II pros are the best pickup ever made in my opinion. Not too hot, not too weak either, perfect frequency balance for many guitars. I've used them since the mid 80's, the sets can vary a bit of course, these sound as good as my oldest. I do stick mainly to Les Paul guitars, but not always, have tried many many pickups over the years, boutique to mass produced. In the end, these always stay, the others go.I play blues, rock mainly, occasionally "old school" metal. I keep things as simple as can be, guitar to amp to cab 99% of the time. Occasionally a delay or such thrown in the mix somewhere, but prefer things as pure and unprocessed as possible, hence these pickups are always a key part of my tone.

Love them
The best pickups I used so far this was my first time I purchased pickups in my 13 years of playing I honestly love them. The set up was very easy just make sure when you set up the pickups you set the "live" wire to the pickup selector and the sliver mesh (ground wire) to any piece of metal aka the tone pot and or volume. Very easy set up just make sure your solder iron is warmed up when working

Amazing Sound
Here's my story. I have a 10 year old Ibanez ART400 with active pickups. Been wanting a Gibson Les Paul basically my whole life, but can't bring myself to spend the $. So before doing so I was determined to try and get the sound without spending major money. After researching for weeks I went ahead and ordered everything I thought I needed. I intended to coil split the humbuckers to get the fender like sound when wanted. I went to the trouble of ordering CTS push pull pots, upgrading to 500K for the passive pickups, etc. When I opened these pickups I realized they were not 4 wire, but single conductors. Be aware as the wiring diagram that comes with this is for 4 wires. I had to make modifications on the fly to wiring, etc. The push pull pots were still functional, but I couldn't coil split. For this lack of clarity I'm only giving 4 stars. After replacing the old pots, wiring the tone knob with an organge drop capacitor (1 tone knob, 2 volumes) and a 3 way switch I was ready. The sound is abolsutley incredible. In half step down tuning with some chorus on, it is AFD sound, even through an Ibanez. It turned out to be an all day project for me - first time attempting to solder but it was worth the effort. Also - I notice a bit of hum from the pickups. Not sure if this is my wiring error or normal, but not enough to bother me.

Hot! Hot! Hot!
These pickups come on strong! Very different than the PAF humbuckers and are even hotter than the Burstbuckers. Think G&R’s “Appetite for Destruction”. If you want a big, rockin’ Les Paul sound, look no further. I love these pups!

Definitely sounds like Slash's tone!
I'm not going to write up an extremely detailed review as it has already been done many times here already. My review would likely sound just like them.On both the clean and distorted channels on my Fender Superchamp it sounds almost identical to Slash's tone on the Appetite for Destruction album. Using it with Amplitube on my iPad it sounds just as great over headphones. They even work very well with Rocksmith 2014 on PC.I use 500k pots for both volumes, a single 500k for tone, with an orange drop plus treble bleed kit on an ESP Eclipse II custom (mahogany body w/ maple neck). These pickups are standard humbucker wiring pushback cloth with braided shield style and you cannot coil split them.Very happy I finally made the purchase! I've been staring at them for years now.
