Update to original review:Have had chance to use this several times now: was absolutely perfect for a city break where it was used several times, and is so small and light there’s virtually no penalty carrying it whenever there’s a suspicion in rain. It feel very flimsy but in my experience all small umbrellas are quite flimsy and it hasn’t broken on me yet. It’s not very good in the wind but, again, no cheap small umbrellas are. Holding one corner with your free hand helps steady it in wind. I’d still highly recommend this brolly as a standby due to its tiny size and weight. Great!Bought this several weeks ago and haven’t actually had cause to use it yet so can’t attest to durability, but this thing is so light and so compact it’s prefect to shove into a pocket for just in case. Brilliant design as a ‘just in case’ item

I absolutely hate carrying things and like to travel as light as possible. I also hate getting rained on and have to carry a brolly wherever I go. After a bit of research I discovered that the Fulton Aerolite is one of the lightest umbrellas you can buy. I saw that it is tiny though, so you may get a bit wet and your arm might get tired as the pole is short but it's worth it because it's less weight to carry on a daily basis. You will need to grip the edge of the umbrella on a very windy day but I've always had to, regardless of whichever brand of umbrella I've used. Treat yourself to this umbrella, you will forget you're carrying it sometimes!

This umbrella is extremely light and compact but it broke the 3rd time I used it. There was a a slight wind which turned it inside out and one of the spokes broke off. I was very disappointed as my previous Fulton umbrella is still working after 10 years and I only wanted to replace it as the Velcro had worn out.

Love this umbrella. It is so so light. It is wind resistant- i.e if it inverts just invert it back again. Wonderful.
