Worth a purchase for considerable sound improvemnt from a laptop
A small enough unit to sit behind the Dell laotop and improve the quality of sound. Didn't expect much from it given the price but it's a good one. Vast improvement in bass response and easy to connect with an excellent blutooth connection. Would recommend this if you just need a good sound improvement for your laptop. Excellent value for money from Amazon.

Well constructed, clean looking, compact, and decent sound
I was looking for a soundbar to mount under a wallmounted monitor, providing a bit of sound enhancement over the monitor in-built speaker. The dimensions of the bar were important, as was a balance of price against sound quality. There are cheaper options out there, but there is the risk of tinny sound, and a more expensive option would have been overkill (I have great sound solutions already for proper music, movies and gaming). The bar is very easy to connect and set up, and has a reassuring weight to it and quality feel. In my case, I'm using the 3.5mm line-in for audio source and have not tested Bluetooth - I didn't need it for that. The included remote control is handy, but there are also control buttons on the right-side of the bar. There isn't much in the way of options to customise the sound, other than a Rock or Jazz setting - who on earth wants a Jazz setting????Sound quality is decent for the size and price - there is no bass to speak of, but the sound quality is nice without being harsh. Volume is more than enough for a small room, although if you drive it hard you quickly reach the limitations. And while there is no bass as such, there is enough midrange to avoid that horrific tinny sound you get with cheap speakers. There is no wall mounting option, so I've use one of those picture frame shelves for a simple solution to mount it below my monitor. Overall, pleased with it, but manage your expectations for bass - this is not going to blow your socks off, but it's not trying to do that. If you're looking for a cinema sound solution, or a bassy music driver, perhaps look further up the chain or buy the version which comes with a subwoofer.

Impressive
I have to say that I am impressed by this piece of kit. Firstly, the speaker is packed in a sturdy box well protected from transitory damage. Once inside the box the internal support packaging is equally robust and neat. The box is sized to contain the parts within in an economic way, it isn't as is often the case, massively oversized marketing tool. The parts identified on the listing are all there with the various leads and competently written instructions in a plastic bag and the UK standard power lead separately boxed. Unpacking the speaker, it was surprisingly heavy and once out of its plastic covering proved to be neat and tidy with no intrusive LEDs, knobs or buttons to fussy up the front of the bar, there is a single, soft blue LED to indicate power off, connecting (flashing) and connected. As can be seen, it sits very neatly and unobtrusively on the monitor stand and, I think, will be easy to accommodate once I get the other 2 monitors in place. Once connected to power the remote (batteries incl) worked to switch it on and off. Pairing was absolutely straightforward and quick and then the function of the remote operated volume etc as would be expected. Now, I don't (or haven't to date anyway) play music on this set up but this replaces a pair of Realtek High Definition speakers that were wired and ugly and, for my purposes, the sound quality is every bit as good if not better. How they would perform for music playback I can't say. My only little niggle is that when first connected they are muted and that, at first, had me searching around for the sound fault, but that is something that I will get used to I'm sure. All in all, for the money, this bar represents exceptional value I think, appearing to be well engineered, sounding good and looking good too. I am so chuffed that I will probably get another one to use with my rubbish sounding TV.dewi

Good quality , great price.
It’s a quality product at a bargain price and it’s really improved the sound quality and clarity of our television. Easy to setup and has multiple options for connecting including blue tooth which gives the option to use it to connect to your mobile. It’s also quite compact but definitely punches above its weight. To cap it all there’s a 3 year warranty!

Good (for the price), but unexciting mono sound.
So... My 20 yr old TV is fine but the sound has been buzzing occasionally when certain frequencies occur and generally we're having to put subtitles on more often to understand what people are mumbling. So I wanted a simple solution for better sound and so tried this speaker. It was very easy to setup, and build quality seems good. The sound is reasonable quality, but is very mono sounding. So after a few days of use I have decided that the sound is clearer than my TV's sound, but perhaps not very exciting to the ear.Only real problem is that I bought a fibre optic cable to connect to my BT TV box. It works fine on all the freeview channels but when watching netflix or prime the optical output is just a squeal of noise. This is of course a problem with the BT box, and I could find no settings I could adjust. The fix was to use the line-out cable (which comes in the box) from the TV into the line-in connection. This now works whatever we're watching and also has the advantage of the volume control is via the BT or TV remote (and not the speakers remote as when using the digital audio input). You still have to turn the speaker on and off with its remote - which isn't a problem for me.So.. if you have BT TV box, and watch netflix/prime, then don't bother to purchase an optical audio cable since it doesn't work, and I couldn't detect any difference between listening via the optical cable or the line in cable on freeview channels.
