This unit gets very hot, which means it could be dangerous in causing some serious damage if it were to catch on fire. A certain amount of heat naturally comes from such units, but this one get so hot, it is almost too hot to handle! After talking with a few IT people about it, I decided to send it back for a refund. I did question the seller, but they did not seem to understand what I meant when I told them the unit gets extremely hot.

We used this for a FaceTime/view with a projector. this worked awesome!! I did however notice that it didn't work too well with the newer iphones that don't have a headphone jack... the audio on those was trying to thru the lightning port instead of the headphone jack on the main unit. but when I connected my iPhone 5, it worked perfect! I was able to connect the audio out jack from the unit to my mixer console and you could hear the person calling thru the main speakers!! we were able to watch videos, but not able to see movies like Netflix,amazon prime. I believe its due to legal reasons, but hey, it works for everything else!!

Good cheap solution to display iPhone or iPad video on HDMI and audio going a different place (mixer/Speaker system).Just know that this small unit "boots up" with power and needs to be plugged into 5v power at all times. Then it connects to your iPhone. It also gets warm to the touch.

Took a chance since I have an "obsolete" laptop that still is running Windows 7 on it just fine, and now in 2020 Microsoft has done away with it... Thought this little gem could fill the gap in the short run for giving me an inexpensive piece of technology that would enable me to use my iPhone 8plus to somehow hookup my 8 year old 720p projector via my VGA cable to my iPhone and then be on the Web / YouTube as needed for club meetings, etc.It arrived on time --being a Prime member it was quickly delivered-- and in 10 minutes I was blown away! IT WORKS!!I even hooked up my external speaker(s) via the audio jack and it worked too! No overheating issues to report yet either...The only pitfall is the following: IF you have a website on your iPhone that is shown horizontally correct, it MIGHT NOT show up via the projector on the screen. This is NOT the fault of the Grey Rabbit though... I found I have to hold my finger on my iPhone "just right" to get the full picture on my phone to be shown...I carefully read all the reviews before I spent the few bucks for this little godsend to try out, and that's why I'm taking the time to write this review... I NEVER would of thought of looking for such a device without Amazon Prime!It looks like I will now NOT be shopping for a $400 laptop just to show a website / video during my meetings after all !!

I bought this to connect to Dell projector in my classroom. It didn’t work.

Works great! Only issue is that it gets very warm while charging. Also, iPad will not fill up a 24” monitor (even sideways), but an iPhone will. Regardless, it works great. Picture quality is good and had not issues with lag time

Arrived in good time. Hooked up to various products and it doesn’t work. My phone doesn’t even read it.

We got this to set up our projector while camping. We set up our Iphone with it while it worked it was great the picture was very good. So we were able to watch one movie then it stopped working. We tried it with 5 different phones and the wire just wouldn't work anymore so I will be returning it.
