Nutrition: Concepts and Controversies, 13th Edition

I have to get this book for nutrition class. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

I rented this book for a nutrition class I was taking in college. The price was affordable and it arrived fast. Upon arriving the book was in near perfect condition with few signs of use. The book very informative and I would recommend it to anyone looking to learn about proper nutrition, even if you aren't taking a class on it.

so great a book

To be honest it’s a text book: I bought it cuz I have to. That being said, it’s a great book that explains things fairly well. Haven’t got lost yet!

Price decent book in excellent condition

This was a terrible book to read. This particular "book" was the soft copy, not the hardback copy which was considerably more costly. This book comes in the form of "saran" wrapped loose leafed, individual pages, stacked on top of one another. Be sure you have a 4" binder to fit both this "book" as well as some binder paper for note taking. This book caused ample controversy in the college class I used it in. Not only were there scientific discrepancies that we, the students found, but several were pointed out by our instructor. Bottom line, read the book, do your work. Remember what your instructor tells you too and once you pass the class, don't use this book as a reference.

The authors use wonderful, applicable and understandable explanations within each topic of the book. I also enjoy the up-to-date controversy sections at the end of each chapter. :)

Saved me a lot of money, and also got me to change my eating habits and to begin exercising! This is a wonderful textbook! Served its purpose and then some! I'll be using this book going forward, even though the class is complete.

Full of information. This book was for a class I'm taking. It was pricey but it is very informatative.
