Awesome powerful torch for its size, ensure you use the full lockout mode (explained below)
See below for 'full lockout' mode instructions, they are essential f r this powerful torch.. I bought myself a TN12 Pro in December then bought another one as a Christmas present. The TN12 Pro lights up the entire room when stood on its end and aimed at the ceiling, it has a throw that reaches as far as my cars headlights, and also has a fairly good flood/spread so you can see everything close around you when out walking. I could imagine it would also be good for self defence purposes.I had an 1100 lumens Wowtac previously (wowtac is the budget brand of Thrunite) which has worked flawlessly for 5 years and the rechargeable battery is still good. So I decided to upgrade to this more powerful Thrunite Tn12 Pro which is awesome for the price, and judging by the build quality I'm certain it should last me years.A couple of pro'sThe build quality is strong. It's fully waterproof. You can stand it on its end to light up a room.It has a full lockout mode, so you don't set fire to your coat or luggage by accident (see below). The included rechargeable battery is very good and so far, apart from one charge when new after testing it for several hours constantly, despite daily use for 6 weeks (sometimes half an hour at a time), I have not had to charge the battery again. The silver side button has LED lights to tell you when it's on and when the battery is low/fully charged etc.The firefly mode is just the right brightness (dimness) for reading at night, or looking for things inside at home and in a tent etc without waking other people up.I like gadgets so I really love this torch and could go on but I'll finish by saying because of its size, I think it would make a great tactical torch for law enforcement or the military, as despite its long throw, on maximum, as indoors, the TN12 Pro literally lights up the entire space in front of you, making it safer for spotting intruders.Full Lock out mode:To turn on the torch in regular mode, you only need to press the silver side button once and it comes on in the last mode you left it in.When the torch is in 'part lockout' mode, the side button needs to be held down for three seconds to turn on the torch. This is handy, but it does mean that if the torch is in your pocket and anything presses against the side button for three seconds, the torch will turn on in the last mode you used it in,, if this was the high 550 lumens setting, being confined, the torch will become very hot! I've done this a couple of times while walking the dog at night and when reaching for the torch when it got dark, it was extremely hot, so now, I always use full lockout mode when the torch is in my pocket/luggage etc just to be on the safe side.As a note, In part lockout mode, pressing the tail cap button will still put the torch into turbo mode, in full lockout mode it will not.I discovered full lockout mode by accident, maybe it's in the instructions, but I don't remember reading it, here's how to do it just in case:-1. Press and hold the silver side button until firefly come on, then release.2. Press and hold the side button again until firefly goes off, then release. This is part lockout mode. (from here you must press and hold the side button again, to turn on the torch).3. Now in part lockout mode, press the tail button until it clicks. This is full lockout mode, the torch will not switch on again until:a) The tail cap button is pressed to unlock the torch, followed byb) Pressing and holding the side button down until firefly appears. This sound complicated, but when you have the torch in your hand and you've practiced a couple of times, it literally takes a couple of seconds to put the torch in and out of lockout mode.Hope this helps with your enjoyment and safety when using this pretty awesome torch...

Awesome torch!
Needed a good quality torch for dog walking, camping and general household tasks. I did a lot of research before commiting as this was a lot more money than some other torches for sale on Amazon. I opted for the Thrunite TN12 Pro after a long deliberation.I have not been dissapointed!. This torch is now my new best friend. It does everything I need and the beam it throws on turbo mode is mega bright. Can easily be used in self-defense to scare off attackers or bugulars as the light is totally blinding.I love the fact it's rechargeable without removing the battery. It small enough to go in your pocket, fits perfectly in your hand, but not too small to get misplaced. I love this product!

Keeps turning on and flattening the battery
I have carried multiple versions of the tn12 now for years. All being the perfect edc light. Bought this as the old one was getting tired and old. It’s absolutely terrible it turns on with both switches and because the side switch is in your pocket it turns on constantly leaving you with a flat battery when you need it. No way of turning this feature off other than to lock the light with a program-sequence every time after use or unscrewing the battery making it inefficient slow and not practical for edc. Far to complicated and wish I’d never bought it as it just isn’t suitable like all previous models, too complicated and a waste of money nobody’s asked for or wants all these complicated features that serve no purpose. On and off and brightness selection is all it needs. Won’t be buying anymore thrunite products until I can watch a review in the future to make sure they are not like this. Such a shame.

Excellent build quality and superb performance.
After many reviews read and watched I settled on the ThruNite TN12, very pleased I did. Awesome flashlight. You can’t go wrong with the build quality and the ease of use and performance make this a pleasure to use. Excellent sales service and delivery could only result in a five star review.

Reputable brand, strong product. this torch is powerful. Ergonomics are good, light enough for camping or trekking. doesn't have the USB charge like the newer model but love the end of torch power button. Its rugged, dropped a few times already and not a scratch.

THIS IS A RIP OFF - BEWARE
This is advertised as a re-chargeable torch. Quote "SUPER BRIGHT: ThruNite TN12 V4 rechargeable LED flashlight adopts the latest CREE XP-L V6 LED"Torch has been received today without a battery and no information about the type of battery that is needed.Completely misleading listing.DO NOT BUY THIS TORCH
