Excellent Vacuum Sealer
We needed to replace our old vacuum sealer. This was highly rated by Consumer Reports and the price is great so we have it a try. It has about every feature you could need. The gaskets are removal and washable. It's pretty quiet and does an exceptional job of vacuum sealing the meat we get from Sam's. Don't spend $100 on one of these, this one is all you need.

Still using this after two years.

Easy to use.
This worked really good for almost five years. Today it started shooting sparks out of the cord where it connects. I guess we just wore it out, so will order another one. Hope it lasts as long.

I love this item!
Great quality. This product is easy to clean and use! Yet small enough to store away in a drawer. Wet or dry products, you can suck the air out and seal! Super easy to use!

It's Disposable at Best!
We purchased ours in June 2020 and it started having issues about 12 months later and then 18 months it barely worked at all. We contacted customer service because we thought hat for $79 (then) it should last more than 18 months. Thesuction power gave out almost completely and it stopped sealing as well. We did all the trouble shooting, no problems there. Then we emailed customer service as some mentioned here and they came back with a laundry list of tasks we would need to complete before being considered for some type of replacement? refund? nothing at al after making a video??? I copy and pasted it here so that you know what you are in for if your vacuum sealer gives out: We are terribly sorry to hear that you have faced this issue. We will like you to go through the following steps to see if this resolves the issue:The machine will not turn to seal automatically if the vacuum pressureinside the bag is not able to reach to the predetermined vacuumpressure. Check sealing strip and foam gasket beneath the lid for debris, wipe clean and try again. Make sure no breaking or distortion of the foam seal gaskets on both the cover and on the base around the vacuum chamber. Take it out fromthe groove, wash and dry it thoroughly; or replace with a new foamgasket (get it from where you brought it or your nearest service center).Vacuum bag may have a leak. Reseal or use another bag.Ensure top cover is pushed down and locked on both ends of themachine at the beginning of the operation before starting thevacuuming process. Leaks caused by wrinkles, debris crumbs, grease or liquids from the bag.Reopen bag, wipe the top inside of the bag and smooth it out along thesealing strip before resealing. Please kindly try the following steps and If the issue still persists, please reply back to this email with proof of purchase from either Anova or a 3rd party, a video showing the issue you have described, and the unit serial number. We will do our best to come up with a resolution. Do have a great day.

Kind of obsessed with this
I've had a sous vide for years but had perfected my ziploc bag technique. The vac sealer is so much better. Just be careful with the bags you get. I have the ANOVA roll of bags and sometimes the seal doesn't totally take (I suspect this is my fault and an issue with how the bags curl when I load them into the machine). I've noticed this when I prep meats a few days ahead of sous vide-ing, one of the bags will have air in it and no longer be sealed. I haven't had any issues when putting sealed bags into the sous vide.
