Multipure Aquadome Countertop Drinking Water System

Bought as a gift for my son and everyone in his household loves it. They say the water tastes way better, thanks.

For the most part I like Multipure water filtering systems. I had an under the sink unit in a house. I had another under the sink unit in a 30 foot sailboat. I have had another above the sink one (different style). I liked them all and they worked well.This particular model though has two problems that I do not like. Problem #1 The switch that slides back and forth between filter and non filter keeps sticking and I have to keep lubricating it. Problem #2 When I turn the water off, (when in the filtering mode), the water keeps running for a while and drains the filter down somewhat. (The out flow hose is at the bottom of the unit and gravity takes its toll). The unit is well built, looks good, and fits well on the counter. It also filters the water good like all the others I have had. If not for the two mentioned problems, I could have given it a five star ratting. I hope this review is helpful and I also hope Multipure corrects these problems because I think this model is worth saving. (UPDATE) August 23, 2015 In the new picture they are now showing of the water filter, it looks like they have changed the on-off switch on the hose. If that is true then the problems that I mentioned in my June comment may be solved.

There are so many choices for filtering water. I had been using a Brita water filter for many years, but lost it when I took it with me traveling. Instead of purchasing another Brita, I decided to research other options. In the meantime, I was drinking straight tap water from Huntsville Utilities and bottled water when out of the house. After spending some time looking at many different kinds of water filtering schemes, I decided to purchase this product.I choose this product as it provided the "value for money" in that it was moderately priced while filtering out the chemicals left over in the municipal tap water supply (Huntsville Utilities in Alabama). The tap water isn't bad, and Brita is a step in the right direction comparable to bottled water, but Multi-Pure filtered water is head and shoulders above either. The taste is so much better!I don't want to sugar coat the price. It certainly is more expensive to purchase this product than a Brita water filter system (or other comparable gravity filter type of system), but the taste more than makes up for it! It's less expensive than a reverse osmosis type of filter... but if you are thinking about those types of systems, you probably have serious water supply issues anyway and cost isn't going to be a factor in the decision.After purchasing this system through Amazon sold by "Quality Water Filters 4 You", I found many other independent distributors offering a discount when purchased directly through the Multi-Pure company website using a discount code. I would suggest searching for these other distributors and discount codes on Google with "Multi pure independent mpad aquadome" search term. It will be well worth your your 2 minutes spent doing this search to save $50 vs the price paid here ($270). Sure, Amazon is convenient, but at the end of the day, you will pay less for the same product by buying elsewhere (as of April 15, 2012).PROS:* TASTE -- It speaks for itself. I simply love the taste of the Multi-Pure Aquadome filtered water. I find that I drink more water now than when I was drinking Brita filtered water and much more than when I was drinking either bottled water or straight Huntsville Utilities tap water! This filter removes a number of toxins and chemicals that could potentially be harmful for human consumption including: Arsenic, Asbestos, Chlorine, Mercury, PCB's, VOC's, etc. In my case, Huntsville Utilities does a pretty good job filtering water according to the Consumer Confidence Report. While it does meet all of the legal limits for filtering, seven of the chemicals are still above safe health guideline levels as defined by the Environmental Working Group (EWG). This filter took care of them to bring them down to NSF certified levels.* SPEED - No need to fill a jug and wait for gravity to draw the water through the filter. This system uses the water pressure built into the tap water line to filter the water. One 16oz glass takes about 20-30 seconds to fill with this system.* ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY - only have to replace the filter once every year. With the Brita system, I was replacing the filters 6 times per year.* EASY TO INSTALL - It took me a wrench and 10 minutes to install. 25 minutes later, after the filter was activated, I was drinking the best tasting water I've had in a long time!* DOESN'T FILTER FLUORIDE - In my case, the fluoride levels are relatively low coming out of the municipal tap water and I don't want to completely filter it out. (BTW: This eliminated the Zero Water Filter as a choice for me, as it is one of the few filters that does filter Fluoride). However, if you are really concerned about Fluoride, then invest in a stand-alone unit that filters nothing other than that one chemical.CONS:* HIGH INITIAL INVESTMENT - At anywhere from $220 - $270 for the filter system, this is definitely a statement and an investment. In the long run however, the price differential is worth it as the taste more than makes up for the cost.* EASE OF FIRST USE - You have to train visitors on how to use the diverter to get filtered water. It's easy to use, but still does require an explanation. (i.e., cold water only, don't put the pressure too high, etc.)* TAP WATER COLD ONLY - After purchasing this product, I found that I like refrigerated filtered water better than just the filtered tap water cold water. I ended up purchasing an air-tight  Takeya Tabletop Pitcher, White/Cobalt, 50-Ounce  to hold the filtered water in the fridge. One fill of the pitcher lasts most of the day for me. Filling the pitcher takes a while, but I just turn the water on and come back when it's full.Summary -- I'm giving the product 5 stars since the PROS far outweigh the CONS and I'm giving the distributor 3 stars due to higher than average cost on Amazon. Averaging the two, I'm giving this a 4 star rating.

Horrible quality. Cheap plastic parts. Terrible customer service. Not worth the money.

So far the multipure have done a great job at filtering my tap water. I have wasted a lot of money on water filtering devices, and this has been the best purchase so far. My water taste great as it barely have any taste at all, which is an encouragement for me to drink more water. The only little issue I would have is that the device was larger than I expected, but it was simple to install, and the water is good, so no real problem at all.

マンションですので、どうしても水道の水に抵抗があり、いままでミネラルウオーターを購入していました。ただ、ミネラルウオーターだと、コスト・ペットボトルのゴミ・購入の際に重くて面倒、ということで思い切って浄水器を検討。そこで国内外の他社製品をわかる範囲で比較しました。中でもマルチピュアはアメリカの厳しい第3者機関のテストをクリアしていることから本製品を選択。特に、有害物質除去力・能力持続性能・トータル処理水量が非常に高水準。　高価ですがコストパフォーマンスは他社よりはるかにベターという判断に至りました。（あくまで私の推察ですし、浄水器業界は知りませんが）国内の規格はあいまいだし、メーカー連合体で組織されている場合もあるのであまり・・・・です。（メーカー社内検査も同様に・・・・です。）では、理屈はともかく実際に飲んでどうなのか？購入しておよそ４カ月。吐出の水量も十分だし、何より臭いも雑味も一切ない「とてもまろやかな水」が楽しめます。コーヒー、紅茶、お茶、鍋、炊飯、何に使っても美味。結論・・・・・・人間ってほとんどは水で出来てるんですから、これぐらいの投資もありかなと。お勧めします！追記）　２０１２　０６３．１１の（悲しい）出来ごとにより、この製品が脚光を浴びたんですね。まさかこの国でこの製品の卓越した能力を評価されるとは・・。そちら方面の除去性能は体感することはできませんが、きっと良い仕事をしてくれるものと信じて今も飲料に使っています。この（卓越した）製品が使わないで済む国に、また戻る日を切に願ってやみません。いつか来るその日まで、もう少し愛用したいと思います。

毎日使用しています。フィルターも年1回で1万円ちょっと。性能考えるとすごくコストパフォーマンスいいです。つなぎ目から水漏れすることがあります。その場合は、水道用のシールテープを巻いてからホースを差すと良いです。費用はかかりますが、水道栓に分岐栓を取り付け専用の蛇口を取り付けると見た目がおしゃれになりおすすめです。

いろいろと調べた結果、日本規格より厳しい浄水性能のマルチピュアを購入しました。口コミでメーカーサポートも良心的だったのも決めてでした。水はおいしいと思います。濾過のフィルターも大きいので、コンパクトタイプより濾過材の絶対量も多いはずです。取り付けは難しくありません。ただ☆ー１は、説明書通りに取り付けたが、最初　濾過材タンクの送水パイプ付け根からポタポタと水漏れがしたこと（これはいつの間にか止まりました）。使っていたら蛇口ユニットの送水パイプがはずれしまったこと（もう一度ぎゅっと差し込んだら、その後は問題なし）。以上の二点が発生した為です。しかしながら浄水性能がトップクラスなのは間違いがないので、今後も１年に１回のフィルター交換をしながら使っていこうと思っています。

水道水が美味しく飲めて感激してます、値段も安くて良いと思います。

以前日本トリ○の20万円以上の浄水器を使用しておりましたが、放射能の心配がありこちらに変えました。水は美味しいと思います。やはりきちんとデータがあるから安心して飲めます。購入して良かったです
