Comparison Mehaz to Another Top rated Toenail Clipper (Seki Edge)
I purchased the Mehaz 668 Toenail clipper because I wasn't totally satisfied with one of the perennial top rated toenail clipper (Seki Edge). Here is my comparison findings:1) Sharpness- both clippers are made in Japan, a country well renowned for producing sharp, high quality blades. Both brands are equally, exquisitely sharp. Both cut without shredding or needing to file your nails.2) Ease of Use / Preciseness of Cuts- Seki is uses a plastic lever which tends to be slippery while Mehaz's lever is silicon coated which result in very little slippage. No slippage means no re-positioning of the blade and cuts tend to be more precise.3) Jaw Opening- see comparison picture. It's hard to appreciate the difference in the picture but Mehaz has 1-2 mm larger jaw opening. This doesn't sound like much but this probably represents a 30% wider mouth which translates to a huge difference for thick nails or even normal thick nails in terms of ease in positioning the clipper underneath the nail bed. I definitely noticed the difference.4) Ingrown Toenails- Mehaz's straight slanted blade is better for precise, up close cuts that prevent nails on the edge to grow in a curved fashion ( that cuts into the toe flesh when walking-- ouch).5) Nail Catcher- this is the one category that Seki Edge "has the edge". Sadly Mehaz skimmed on the design. With Mehaz, on the left side of the clipper the nail guard (catcher) extends to the tip of the blade but on the right side because the guard does not extend to tip of the blade there is a large opening that ejected nail clippings will fly through (see pictures comparing the left vs right side of the clipper). On the other hand, Seki's nail guard goes all the way to the top on both sides. As a result, Seki catches ~ 80-90% of the nails while Mehaz catches only ~ 60-70%.SUMMARY: With the exception of the issue of the nail catcher, I found the Mehaz to be a superior product with respect to sharpness, preciseness of cuts, ease of use and a surprisingly better cutting experience due to a larger jaw opening. Sadly I subtracted one star due to a "less than stellar" nail catcher but if this is not a priority for you then this will still be a 5 star product for you.

Best nail clipper I’ve owned
This is the best clipper and the price is good for what you get. It’s definitely not your average drug store clipper. It’s exact, sharp and easy to useUpdate: This broke in less than a year with minimal use - definitely not the best I’ve had!

Excellent toe nail clippers
These are by far the best toenail clippers I’ve used. I highly recommend them - particularly for nails that are thick.
