FANTASTIC LITTLE DOODAD
This thing is wonderful for the size. I've seen reviews saying broken upon arrival, didn't work, or didn't know what the wiring is for. This does come with pig tails to wire into, then plug into the amp, one for power and the other for two speakers. The switch on it changes it from high to low range filtering, and is not a power switch. The three wires on the power plug are ground (black), hot/constant power (red), and the remote power (orange. This wire goes into the power that turns on when the key is on. You can put a switch on this to the power, or just got wire it to the red, for constant on, whenever it's hooked up.) It IS 12 volt powered, but I was impatient, so I hooked it up, in parallel, to two 6 volt lantern batteries and it works great with some spare surround sound system speakers. This thing, as with all automotive amps, does get warm with use, so it's important to keep it from getting covered up. I can see myself using this in future fun projects. 5 STARS.

it is useless. You can not power it threw the fused ...
After three replacements and returns I kept the third replacement amplifier becausethe aluminum extrusion case could be used to contain one of my home made electronics projects. As a Audio amplifier ...it is useless . You can not power it threw the fused red power lead. But if you feed 12 volts to the " tape deck " power feed ...un fused the LED pilot light lights upbut amplifier still will not drive know to be good speakers .. .I fed it a signal with a MP3 CD music disc player I could hear threw head phones.I used to repair Public Address systems on trains . Nice case ...guts are junk.

Very nice, could be better
Super cheap for a 300w amp and the aux input jack is awesome. I would prefer RCA inputs, really, but those models are a bit more expensive. And aux input works great for the application I'm using them for which is a homemade portable stereo system. Just bought a second one because my first was quite impressive.Only downside to these things is the fact they're Pyle which isn't really known for quality. I'm not saying it sounds bad, it actually sounds amazing for its size and price, but it could be better. If you're a sound system enthusiast like myself, this will disappoint you, but if you're looking for cheap and mid-level quality, here you go.

noisy...
It's loud, and it's small. Sound quality is decent and has plenty of power for the door speakers in my 1991 Miata. It also fits under the stock headunit for stealth. The volume control works nicely with no scratching.-2 stars for the loud electrical noise when the engine is running and a loud turn off pop. The noise is like alternator whine except it doesn't change with RPM. The turn on pop is less noticeable than the turn off pop, which sounds like a rock hitting the door. Eh, what more can be expected at this price point? My car is pretty loud, especially with the top down. With road noise and music playing most of the electrical noise is drowned out anyway...it pushes my little door speakers with plenty of authority. In that regard, it fits my needs nicely, I just wanted some tunes and I'm not trying to win any sound competitions. If you need a tiny amp with enough power for regular door speakers, you might want to look elsewhere if electrical noise is an issue for you.

Great little amp for projects where you just need some power.
Works as advertised. I'm using it with a 100W police siren/speaker and it drives that just fine, even without the volume turned above about 25%, so I can't complain. It's also nice and small, and discrete. The only caveats, since I'm using this with a CB radio as the PA unit, I had to make a mono to stereo cable to connect the CB, since the CB only has mono out, and I was originally planning on using two smaller speakers and this only has a 3.5mm input instead of clips for bare wires. Not a big deal at all. And when you hook it up in this manner, be sure to wire the red and orange power wires together to get the unit to turn on. I think in the manual it says "to radio tape deck" or something similar. Once you do that, it powers on and works fine.

Cute lil amp...
Decent mid and high amp. Not particularly made for lows. Very small, easy to hide and a cinch to hook up.I drive a custom '69 Beetle and the GT exhaust is loud. I don't have a stereo system due to the fact this type of vehicle is very easily broken into. So I have this Pyle mini-amp and a pair of separately boxed 6x9's. I use my 8GBSony Walkman as a music source. (Sometimes my Droid when I forget to grab the Walkman) Either way this setup is excellent! Audibly loud enough but visibly discreet. The 3.5mm Stereo jack is awesomely convenient for all types of media audio input. The clarity of sound from the Pyle amplification makes it that much better.I've read all the reiviews and a lot of other consumers claim that this particular amp becomes hot to the touch when being used. Using this info, I Preemptively devised a means to avoid a melted amp. Seems to be working thus far.I would definitely recommend the Pyle Mini Amp

Works as advertised
Pretty good cheap little amp. As long as you keep your expectations in line for a cheap, fairly low power amp, you won't be disappointed. I'm using mine to power a car subwoofer as part of my home theater system, and it works pretty well for that. I am having trouble keeping the noise down. I find that I have to adjust settings (equalizer from the source, gain knob on the amp, ect) depending on the volume and what I'm listening to.

Amazon was great, the mini amp is a definite dud
We ordered this unit and installed it but when 12V power was applied there was no LED power indication and the unit was dead. We sent it back and ordered a second identical unit and right out of the box once again the unit was totally dead, no power, no amplification, nothing. We contacted Amazon and they said that they are having a number of the same issues with this unit and that we should order a different unit which we have done. Amazon was great, the mini amp is a definite dud.
