Nixplay Smart Digital Picture Frame 10.1 Inch, Share Video Clips and Photos Instantly via E-Mail or App, Black

Originally bought one of these for my Nan. She loves it and watches it daily. I've since bought one for my mum and mother in Law and now my sister wants one too!Its easy to set up and add photos and short videos. I manage them from my phone using the nixplay app. You can add plenty of photos and share a link so others can add photos too. My 78 yr old mil has managed to download the app and upload phoros to hers too so its also good for the technically challenged! There is a randomiser function too though i do find some pictures come up more often than others but you can set it to cycle through one by one if you want.The timer function is great as you can set it to come on and turn off when you wish and then leave it which is best for my nan who at almost 100 doesnt like to mess with it at all!The picture quality is brilliant, very clear- even with older pictures.I do tend to wait for a sale to buy the frame- usually about £100 which i think is great value for money with the ampunt of use they get and the pleasure they bring!We are often suddenly exclaming about a memory as we catch a photo come up we havent seen for ages!Can highly recommend as presents that will be greatly appreciated and loved for years to come.

I am another customer who bought this and I am another victim of the scam that they operate. The scam is called "bait & switch" and contravenes the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You will see many complaints the same as mine on this review page, and generally this scam is all across the internet.These frames were sold with unlimited storage, but the manufacturers switched this to a subscription storage service around March/April 2025. I would never buy a frame that needed a subscription to use it fully, who can say if the manufacturer will be there next year? Why would you when you can do card storage? Or link to your photos in your own storage?Amazon do the customer service for this product, so you do not have to go to the manufacturer. Amazon were very apologetic, asked me to return it, will offer a full refund and gave no arguments. Due to the serious nature of the complaint, allow 15 to 20 minutes for the call to arrange this.All very disappointing for me. I bought this as a present for someone. Sadly the first frame (different brand) failed within the first minute, and had to be returned. This was a step up in quality to avoid issues. It has to be said that the image and functions were initially very good. It will be posted back tomorrow and I will search for a replacement with memory card storage

Amazing

Bought this for my gran to see the latest pictures from the family. We have shared access to upload pictures to the frame around the family so they can all load pictures of events and special occasions. The whole process is very straightforward, the frame is well put together and looks great.The larger picture size is means you get a better view of images than staring at a smaller a phone screen and it has received many positive comments from visitors.

Horrible bait-and-switch scam. This product and company is nothing but a rip-off.I bought three different Nixplay digital photo frames because they were clearly marketed as subscription-free. The last one I bought was over Xmas 2024, less than 4 months ago where I paid a premium price for the device, more than its competitors, because unlike most competitors there was no subscription.Less than a year later, I received an email stating that a subscription fee of at least £20 per year would now be required, making it much most costly than competitors - Nixplay have lost its USP and is not worth the price now.This unexpected charge is a breach of the original and and terms and is simply deceptive. The company built up its customer base on the promise of no subscriptions, only to trap us with unexpected charges. I urge everyone to sign the change.org petition as I just have, and not buy from this company.My purchase for this model was explicitly advertised as free of such fees. This retroactive change is not only unfair but also a violation of basic consumer rights. I am so against these manipulative practices and can see if they’ve lured in a customer base only to force them into choose between using it as an expensive paperweight or paying the subscription, I know they will do worse later on - subscription costs will rise, products will mysteriously stop working just after warranty periods etc. I thought they were one of the decent companies out there but they pulled the wool which is frankly, much worse. Nixplay, you are disgraceful.

After my last two reviews have been rejected for telling the factual truth I vowed not to submit another one however, this product is good, but the stand is really bad. Yes, the stand (a stiff tube) is innovative and connects the power to the unit, but it means the unit has to be placed too far from the wall behind which looks so out of place on a hall table.No SD Card access which would have worked well however the unit is reliant upon a Wi-Fi connection otherwise it simply will not work. Get a new router and you will have to spend lots of valuable time resetting everything.It took me a couple of hours to fathom how it worked and I was still not fully sure of all its secrets.After all the hassle, researching setup on the internet etc I have to say once set up correctly it is rather good - but be prepared to spend lots of time 1. Learning the system and 2. Setting up your photos.

Excellent quality digital frame. A gift for my rlderly mother to keep up to date with her grandchildren abroad. Easy to upload images and images good resolution. This has been a great tool to ease her transition to residential care.
