great size vessel for transporting my coffee
Purchased this over a year ago and still use it til this day. I don't do the manual pour-over brewing method as much as I used to. I now brew my coffee Turkish style and this is a stylish, functional, great size vessel for transporting my coffee. I get compliments about it at work. People think its "fancy", hah. It's easy to clean, does just fine in a dishwasher and holds more cups of coffee than I expected when full! I've read some other reviews on this item and seen that other people have had their vessels shatter on impact or from boiling water... I'm really sorry that this has happened. I'm not the most careful person when washing dishes. I've dropped this on other dishes when washing, dropped it into a ceramic sink we used to have at our old place and it didn't break or even scratch! Maybe that's just mine, but golly it is sturdy. Glad I still have mine.

Highly recommend!
I love the V60 800ml and have been using it almost daily since I purchased it! I initially was going to purchase the 600ml and on a whim, upgraded to the 800ml and it was a good choice. I believe the 600 would have been too small. Let me say that the glass is thin BUT it is not BRITTLE like crystal. That being said I could still see how, if you were to wash it with other items in the sink, you could easily crack it or shatter it. If you drop it, it is a done deal! All that being said the Hario Server is definitely HIGH QUALITY and is perfect for Pour Over needs! The stopper is a great bonus and works great. I would say that, as with any glass container, don't expect this to maintain the heat of your coffee. For function and purpose, I don't believe that any other Glass Range Server matches it (I would say it is better than a Chemex, due to the fact of EASY cleaning). Well worth the money and I highly recommend!

Elegantly Simple
I was a coffee pressor for years, but unfortunately I have a strong family history of cardiovascular disease, and coffee oils can contribute to blood vessel damage. Coffee filters do a good job of absorbing those oils, so I said good-bye to the coffee press.I don't like automatic coffee makers for a very simple reason: no matter how fancy or expensive they are, the heating elements and capillary tubes are all made from cheap materials. It seems kind of ironic to go through the hassle of using filtered water just to dump it into a machine where the final pathway takes it past materials that you wanted to avoid in the first place. So, I now use pour over. I've got a Melitta cone which I found at a coffee shop. I wanted to use that cone with some kind of pot or server made of glass so that I could see how much coffee I'm making. The glass pot that came with my coffee press had a handle that got in the way of the cone sitting flat on the pot. I read a number of reviews and decided on the Hario.I don't usually care too much about the look of things, but this thing is cool looking. My wife likes it. It's recommended capacity is 800 ml but will hold a liter and still pour very smoothly. It looks smaller than it is. The design makes it look compact. It is light weight but feels solid and the glass gets warm but not hot. I drink all the coffee within a half hour and it stays hot in the Hario for that period. The serve is absolutely drip free.I've had this for a few weeks and will provide updates later.

Cute, useful.
A great carafe. I like the handle [many carafes do not have one.] Using it for a pour over coffee set [see pics.] A tight lid that you can turn to pour.I really like this carafe.

This 800ml is perfect compliment for Hario Buono drip kettle
I just received this a few days ago, but I have owned the little brother (Hario XGS-60TB V60 range server 600Ml) to this server for over 2 years. I ordered this Hario XGS-80TB V60 range Server 800Ml simply because it holds more coffee. I have the the Hario VKB-120HSV V60 Coffee Drip Kettle Buono which is a perfect match for this 800ml range server. I fill the drip kettle with water and 800ml range server can hold all the brewed coffee. The 600ml range server cannot hold all the volume the drip kettle can deliver. This is important to me because I make coffee for 2 to 3 people. I have found that I usually make that 1 extra cup when I used the 600ml range server. And no you cannot transfer the pour over funnel in mid pour over to another vessel. The reason is that all the brewed coffee needs to meld because the filtrate extracted first more rich and saturated than the last drips of filtrate. For this reason, the pour over process is batch dependent as anyone doing pour overs knows or will discover in time.I wrote a review of the little brother Hario XGS-60TB V60 range server 600Ml where I mentioned its fragile nature. Here is a portion of that review:..."I broke the lid. Yes it was my fault, and I take ownership. My reason for mentioning is that the lid fell of my jar used to dispense fresh beans, and it is only 5 inches or 12.7 cm tall. It fell the short distance and cracked on my tiled counter top. Take this as advise to be careful. It may have been the precise angle of impact along with the perfect alignment of the planets according to the glass breaking laws of the universe that produced this result; however, it happened. They can break from a short fall"...I added this just to inform that this 800ml is just as fragile.. So be careful with it and it will provide a long time of good service. The 800ml range server is a perfect match for all Hario pour over a perfect system for pour over products.

It’s great! I use the hario v60 size 03 dropper above it.
Definitely get the v60 size 03 if you’re using this as a replacement for your standard morning coffee dripper for 2+ people. But the glass carafe is nice, I like the lid on top so I can seal it for my wife because she wakes up later than me. The glass is rather thin as compared to the v60 dripper which is very thick. It pours nicely. I like it a lot. I hated my plastic coffee machine and now everything is all glass! 😊☕️💎
