Saved my Maul
The hole is 1" in diameter, but my handle is 1.25". I boiled the product in water per the instructions, and after donning gloves and oiling up the handle with a liquid oil soap, I was able to stretch the rubber over the handle, and it slid down easily. It works well.

Very beefy looks like it will help
Was difficult to get on, but worth the effort. The sledge I had purchased had a minimalist handle saver when I purchased. It quickly fell apart which led to having to replace the handle. This guy looks like it can take some punishment.

Good product didn't use for what they are made for but did great as cushions for a homemade van rack.

Easy to install, but loose on handle
Warmed handle protector in hot water, put a little dish soap on maul handle, slipped on easily, but it's loose at maul head, so will have to shim to solve.
