I admit that I was skeptical when I first came across this product, and it was due to a combination of the higher price and my concerns about being able to pull the plunger piece out consistently without hurting myself. For context with what I mean, I have a shoulder injury on my dominant arm, and I have had surgery on my back and experience pain from continuing disc bulges.I started to look for cheaper alternatives, but nothing really seemed ideal. I ultimately decided to take the plunge on this, and it wouldn't really make sense to some people, but others might understand what I mean:I am a texture person. I can either love something or hate something based on the texture and softness of it (like I hate touching unfinished ceramics, for example). The glaze on this container is so perfectly smooth, it makes me happy every time I grab for it. In fact, every piece of this is made with super high quality. It has a sturdy rubberized base on the bottom, the plunger piece is also sturdy and well made and I dont worry about it breaking on me, and the lightly opaque lid on top is also smooth and acrylic-y and all of the rubber skirts for suction fit perfectly.I read a review with someone who mentioned the top lid is hard to get off, but I haven't experienced any real issue pulling it off. One just has to get a small purchase in it and break the air seal - it's only slightly harder to put on snuggly and then take it off when there is less product in the jar, because there is more of an air barrier inside to have to fight against. I think the only real challenge would be people with long nails, but even still I don't see it being a real issue because I use the bottom side of my finger and not my nails to get into it. As far as the plunger goes, it's actually a lot easier than it looks in the videos. It isn't hard on my body at all, it glides in and out smoothly, like butta. I ordered the medium size, and I have been a little bit concerned about warping the metal with normal use as I apply gentle pressure to get the plunger out, because the metal seems pretty thin and even more lightweight than I had anticipated for such a large opening, but it hasn't deformed on me yet.You can use this for storing pretty much anything, including things you access frequently, because of its ease of opening and closing. I use it for my coffee beans. I love love love the high quality of every part of it, and I also love when if I spend a lot of money on something that it delivers and does not disappoint, like this does. I will continue to buy more of these in the future without hesitation. Excellent product!

Such a great airtight way to store coffee. I keep it in my fridge, and when it comes time to make some, I love the fresh smell of the coffee as I pop out the air dampener inside. I store my coffee measuring funnel on top of the air dampener, right under the exterior lid. This is hands down the cleanest and easiest way to keep your coffee fresh.

Love this so much! Makes me happy every time I open and close this. Keeps my high quality beans that I purchase in bulk just as fresh as when I opened the bag. I got the large size. The white is super cute!

works well and very good looking container

I buy coffee by the two pound bags. I've been using vacuum seal bags but found that they leak after a while. After reading many reviews re: coffee storage, I got this.I love it. I can pour all the beans into this large container. I think it's elegant and very easy to use. You push down the inner lid to squeeze out air and simply pull it up and out to get to whatever you're storing. I had about 1/4 pound of beans from vacuum bag I stored in this. When I re-opened it about a week later, I could smell the freshness of the beans coming out of this container. I'm going to get another for flour or cereal.Very happy with this.

Good product but takes muscle to open.

I’m able to buy coffee beans in larger quantities and they are just as fresh (shinny with their natural oils) and aromatic at the bottom of the container (about 2 weeks) as they were just out of the store.

Now have this 1 kilogram and the medium. Both keep the beans fresh for many days. I get a great bloom from the ground beans all the way to the bottom of these containers. What more could one ask.
