POSSE PM01 In-Ear Live Performance Monitor

This system is incredible. If I had put down on paper, a list of requirements for in-ear monitoring, there's no way I could have designed a better system. POSSE (Personal On Stage Sound Environment) covered all the bases, giving the performer complete control over his / her vocals, instrument, room, and aux return from a PA mixer volume. It comes with a built in guitar tuner, and a goose neck condenser mic (plugs into the stand control box) for non-electric acoustics. It can be combined with a wireless body pack, but for players like me that sit to play, it's perfect. The control center mounts on a mic stand, and has "blackface" looking knobs. From top to bottom, Master, Vocal, Instrument, Room, and Auxillary. The "Room" volume, controls the amount of room noise from two condenser mics built into both sides of the control center, so you're not isolated from the band, and crowd. The stand mount control has a pigtail female XLR for a mic, an HDMI output to the floor box. The floor box runs off a 9 Volt battery, or included AC adapter, and has every input, and output you'd ever need, including a midi output to a belt pack, with a 1/8" headphone output. The floor box has both 1/8", and 1/4" headphone jacks. Dip switches on the side, change stereo, mono, and 48 VDC phantom power. For those who prefer effects in their monitors, just run the female XLR pigtail, to a floor vocal effect, or rack mount, then run the output back to the mic. I did call POSSE once, to find out whether phantom power was available when using a 9 Volt battery, and it is! I believe I talked to the inventor, and he was so pleasant, we chatted for more than 1/2 hour. Please read other reviews, from other other sources, and one thing they will all say, is no more strained vocal cords! These units can also be daisy chained together, for the ultimate in affordable In-Ear monitoring. From houses of worship, to home studio recording, to playing clubs, to weddings, the uses are endless. I was able to find one fault. The silicon earbuds tend to slip out when sweating. I bought foam tips, and the stock earbuds are good enough! I recently spent $20.00 on earbuds that have over-ear memory wire, to keep from getting snagged. Get one before it's too late. One more thing, the control to floor box is HDMI, which is available anywhere, and the floor box to belt pack is a MIDI cable, available at any music store.
