Worked well for me.
Yes, these do lose their stickiness quickly but they have quite a few useful shapes and sizes. I didn’t need the kitchen and bathroom sheets as my plans already had those drawn on. You may have to buy several sets to furnish anything more than a 3 or 4 bedroom home as only 1 king size bed, 2 queen and 2 twin beds are included. So depending on your layout you may want to buy at least 2 sets to have enough beds and end tables and such. Mine have now pretty much loss all stickiness but they are still very useful for moving around as I need to change my layout. When I’m happy with my plan I will just use double sided tape to adhere them in place.

A great item--but Amazon shouldn't have had a "goes with..."
This is a wonderful item. It has "clingy", reusable stickers so that you can reuse them over and over--like the old "Colorforms" we had as kids. They are also quite detailed, so that although they are only in black and white, they are fun to look at. You have so many options, and the scaled paper is roughly 16" X 22", and treated so that the "stickers" stay on well, but can be taken off just as easily. And both sides are that way. Not sure if you can actually do one side, and, without removing the stickers, flip it over and do the second side. Haven't tried it, I guess. We purchased this as part of our homeschool curriculum for our 16 year old.My biggest gripe is that Amazon listed a "goes with" item--the "Room and Furniture Layout Kit" by Muncie Hendler. The trouble with that is that the "Home Quick Planner" is scaled at 1/4"=1', but the "Room and Furniture Layout Kit" is scaled at 1/2"=1'. My suggestion would be not to get the "Room and Furniture Layout Kit" anyway if you are getting the "Home Quick Planner", since it is just punch out cardstock shapes. It isn't that bad, but after having the very detailed stickers of the "Home Quick Planner", these are very boring.A really neat item.

Great idea, needs some adjusting
We have our plans, so I was using it more for furniture placement and room design.Pros: Sturdy stickers with lots of varietyCons: Not enough furniture pieces for beds, tables, dressers, etc. , I would have liked a set that was all furniture as I'm finished with doors, windows, etc. Stickers will peel the paper off even the laminated grid.Costly for a few sheets of stickers!Bonus:I had my floor plans laminated to make it easier to use and it holds up better to the sticker. Now, I just need more furniture!. If it wasn't $35 I would just order another set, but most of the stickers have gone to waste already.

Make planning your build easier
We used this product to lay out our home's blue print. From doors to windows, walls and furniture down to the exact measuring we were able to do so with this product. Highly recommend

Accessible, approachable, hands'on - but mis-categorized in the "toy" category.
Not a child's toy. I believe the rating, "ages 7 and up", a regrettable and sloppy oversight. That factor alone nearly persuaded me to not purchase the item. Yes, it is great for teens, and young aspiring future architects - offering an inexpensive, practical tool in a setting where CAD would be an inappropriate expense. In my design business, yes, we have CAD. But when making presentations, I find it a most approachable and helpful tool. Out in the open, it allows discussion and quick changes. For my customers, it fosters a hands-on experience. It renders a sharp appearance, and is simple to copy as it can be turned over without the pieces shifting and falling off which often happens with the more expensive magnetic boards. My only criticism - it could be updated to include a wider range of furnishing, especially upholstery options that offer the various depths we are seeing in today's more customizable furniture environment. And for that, I would gladly pay an upcharge, or, purchase supplements. I see no other supplements available. I am seriously considering the purchase of multiple sets however.

Excellent idea!
EXCELLENT IDEA! It would get more stars if it were priced accordingly to what I received OR if the product were sturdy in any sense. These are too thin and flimsy to withstand multiple movements.I will be returning this as I can't use it. I can't read the printing on the elements without using a magnifying glass or taking pictures with my cell phone, going into the Gallery on the phone and enlarging it on the screen. I work regularly with 1/4" = 1 ft scale, so that's not the issue, but it is definitely a negative in accumulation with the rest of the items in this package. In my opinion, this product nowhere near worth the price I paid of $27. This is a collection of seven sheets folded into cardstock "cover" printed with examples and industry standard placement measurements (those are definitely a plus!), slipped into flimsy zippered bag with a piece of plain old cardboard inserted for stability for shipping. The plastic bag does have a potentially useful grid printed on it, but you would have to insert a white cardboard or matboard similar in order to make it useful.I just expected something that will last - at least put it in something like a shallow chipboard box so we can store it. The plastic envelope is useless as is the printed cardstock folded around the sheets. It's not even useful like a cardstock folder that has pockets to keep the contents from slipping out - this is merely folded in half. There are innumerable useful images to use, but accessing and placing and repositioning them is too frustrating for me as these are thin like thin decals - not even vinyl sticker depth. When I read the description of 'peel and stick' reusable, I assumed a hearty flexible plastic like the original Colorforms which did and would still withstand PEELING AND STICKING relentlessly. These won't hold up with repositioning multiple times. The flimsy paper grid sheet is FOLDED in fourths and I really, really, really don't like that. Better to ship in huge flat chipboard envelope or ROLLED UP. If I don't return this, I will cut that along the fold lines and attach to a substantial underlayment. Otherwise, it won't stay flat because of the creases and it will wrinkle quite easily without permanent support. I know it's assumed to be used on a table or desk, but if you want to move it or even put it away, there's more manipulation of the flimsy products.
