Who needs a scarecrow
The film on one side of the disc is very easy to take off, but that opposite side puts on a bot of a fight.Aside from that, these seem to be working very well thus far

So far so good!
Easy to put up. So, far they have deterred those birds away. I like the colorful ones the best

I generally don't write reviews unless something is extremely terrible, or extremely good
I generally don't write reviews unless something is extremely terrible, or extremely good. I'm leaning towards the later with this product, but honestly only time will tell. What did prompt me to write this review was the co-founder (Joseph) of the disks emailed me directly and asked what I thought of the product and he asked to respond via email, so I thought I'd do him one better and respond publicly, giving him, his company, the product, and the general buying audience the benefit of it.The good:The repellent disks are exactly as described and are working as described. The bad:The protective material on the disks--while a great idea--is extremely difficult to remove for a guy with hardly any finger nails, I had to enlist my wife's help to remove the material, perhaps a tab could be put on for us bear handed types? The wait:I initially tested the theory of using shiny object to thwart birds a few weeks ago by hanging an old CD-ROM by a string, it worked when nothing else did! I've tried anti-bird wire, rubber snakes, removing the nests daily, even used insect repellent and wasp killer to keep the birds away...only the CD-ROM showed promise. That said, it had worked for a couple of weeks, but I noticed the birds were starting to inch their way back to the house shutters, that's when I found these disks and decided if one worked OK, then I'd hang eight. So far, so good. I'm hoping it stays that way, but...only time will tell.

Total piece of junk
Cautious about buying the stuff it has a white coating on it that you’re supposed to take off, but you can’t get it off. I got it off of a couple of them and it took me a very long time to try to get it started to come off without it. It’s just white and does not distract the birds. A total waste of my money. One of the worst items I have ever purchased on Amazon.

Easy to use but didn't work well in my remote forest location.
These were easy to install but, unfortunately, they didn't deter woodpeckers from damaging my garage. After years of trying to chase them off and repairing the back wall, I finally replaced the entire wall with cement board that replicates the rest of the garage and no problems anymore. I live in the middle of a forest location bounded by national forest so there's a lot of birds, this may work better in a more urban environment.

5+ months in... still super happy!
These discs have been up for 2 weeks, and so while I can't say with certainty that they are going to eliminate the problem, i can definitely see how they have great potential to do so!First off, as others have pointed out, these are beautifully crafted discs... excellent quality that should last many years. Assembling the discs is straightforward but easy enough. Be careful with your fingers... the discs can be sharp on the laser cut edges. I assembled all of mine without gloves without a cut, but you want to be careful anyway.I was concerned about putting up anything that would take away from the look of my red saltbox colonial, so I was pleased with how nice these look, and how they don't draw attention to themselves, but just to their actions - confusing I know. What I mean is that the mere presence of these disks doesn't look out of place. Unlike a bird balloon or a decoy owl that clearly looks like "hey - there is a fake owl on that house", these don't stand out by themselves. However, with the slightest breeze and some sunlight they create a light show of spots flying around and draw attention to their movement. Almost like wind chimes. This is why I think they will totally do the job! They are highly effective at causing distraction during the day, when the woodpeckers come out to play!UPDATE: So it's now been 5 months or so since I installed my first set of discs, and I just bought and added a second set. My bird concern has always been about the woodpeckers who seem to live all around me and who last fall made swiss cheese of my trim boards and barn siding. Because I have a seperate barn and an off-angle garage connected to the house by a screen porch, the original 8 sets didn't quite cover the whole house. On the 20x24' barn I hung one set on each corner and that has worked perfectly. On the house I was only able to easily mount one off my electrical electrical wires (which was where most of the damage occured) and the rest i placed in trees near the corners. This actually seemed to work great, as I check the house all of the time for any new pecking. Despite constantly seeing the woodpeckers flying around the property, and hearing them drumming away on nearby trees, there was no new damage to the house - until last weekend I noticed 2 new peck spots on the back of the garage - the one corner of the house where I had no discs in site. I immediately relocated one from a tree and hung it from a spotlight on that side of the garage - and since then no new damage. I figured since these discs have been so effective it was worth buying another set and really loading up the area. I like having them both on the house, and in the smaller ornamental trees I have because I think it helps keep the woodpeckers not only off the house, but also away from it whereas before they would perch in the trees, then fly over to do some drumming and if startled they'd seek refuge in the nearby trees. Now they have a longer flight to get out to the edge of the property to avoid the discs. Considering what they did to my house in the fall (see photo) and how many woodpeckers are still around and drumming, these discs have without a doubt worked!

10/10 really works
Birds don’t get close to my car since I’ve hung these up.
