Good option for the price
Just finished installing. Wired both the monitor and the camera power to the reverse lights so that the monitor would only come on when the car is in reverse. If you use the cigarette lighter adapter you still have to use the push button switch to turn it on and off. Besides being inconvenient, it also ties up your 12V power out and you cant use it for USB charging. If you know what you're doing installation is pretty straightforward. Quality is good for the price point.

Good value for the money
If you need a cheap backup camera, this is great for you for such a reasonable price. My needs were a bit more extensive than this unit was designed for, but I am using it as a learning experience to see if spending more would be worth the $$$.On my truck, I needed a rear view camera because with the cap over the bed, viewing backups and rear traffic is impossible. I wired this to be on anytime my driving lights are on. Works fine. The camera sees a very wide angle and is clear. The screen is large enough and the color rendering is very good. Response time from the wireless connection to the camera is real good. LEDs around the camera light up the rear at night very nicely. I had to cover them because in my mode of constant on would be a distraction to drivers following. My backup LED lamps do a fine job when I need. One issue you need to be aware of which is not a fault of the unit (but all cameras) is that when the bright sunshine is pointed directly at the camera, the picture will become very over saturated. Those times are not that often, and I can compensate for it.

Very cheap and low quality
This wireless backup camera is very cheap and doesnt work, was easy to install but that's about it. Installed it got every thing to work, then the next day it doesnt work, might have been something to do with it raining idk, but if the rain cause it to malfunction it's not very practical for out door use, or it's due to the horrible quality. They little metal strip they have glued on the back for the magnetic suction cup stand came off over night, and the screen was on my floor in the morning. So overall this is a horrible back up camera system so don't waste your money on it. Figured if they had a $150 regular price and and it was on sale it would be decent quality but it's not.

Good wireless backup camera
I have an older model car without the backup camera and the advanced options, so i was looking to add backup camera to my car. Since my car is SUV doing the wired backup camera involves lot of time and also might need to take to some shop if am not able to finish the install. So i decided to go with the wireless option since installation is less hassle when compared to the wired one. I was searching for different wireless backup cameras,I bought the one that fit to rear view mirror by my car rear view mirror was not holding the display because of the weight the mirror was tilting down then I decided to buy this one which i can put it in windshield or dashboard. After reading the reviews and checking other wireless cameras decided to buy this one.Installation took about one hour and it depends on the backup light position in the car.Once the camera is connected to the backup light the display which is connected to the cigarette lighter automatically receives the signal when I put in reverse. I was using this one for more than a month am not seeing any issues in the wireless transmission/receiving, signal is pretty solid and the picture quality is very good in both day and night. It is a solid rear view camera with good night vision, water proof, parking guide lines.Pros :-Easy to installGood picture quality in day and nightSolid wireless signal almost like a wired oneCons:-Sometimes you get the signal from other devices which are transmitting in the same frequencyHave to find the perfect place to fit it either in dashboard or windshield

Cheaper alternative to factory camera and easy installation
I easily installed this camera and monitor system this evening. The package came with everything that I needed to wire this into my Honda Odyssey. I also used multimeter to find the power connection to connect the power cable with reverse light bulb wire, although I needed to cut both write to include this camera’s connection. I would also recommend to test out the system before installing to make sure it works, since I end up drilling hole for bringing camera wire upto license plate. The camera works well and the picture on the monitor is clear, both in daylight and night time. However I was expecting little better night vision in this. Receiver is quick to receive signal from transmitter camera.Overall happy to install in my Honda Odyssey and it’s a great feature in my Mini-van.

Easy install wireless camera on VW Jetta 2013
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I installed this camera on my 2013 Jetta in a few minutes. The most difficult part was actually opening the plastic cover of the cables on my car. A bit difficult to screw the camera on the license plate as there is not much room on the Jetta, but worked fine eventually. I passed the cable through one of the license plates lights (had to cut a small piece of the plastic corner with a small saw) as I did not want to make any drilling.Wiring was very easy with T-Taps (I did not use those furnished with the camera, as I purchased other from Amazon, brand "Dorman"). On a 2013 Jetta, the red cable of the camera goes to the blue cable of the reverse light) and the black cable of the camera to the brown cable of the car. Easiest is to attach the T-Taps near the cable socket on the passenger side. The screen is fine and the wireless connection is great. The image appears after approx. 1 second once you are in reverse. There is no lag at all. You can remove the direction lanes and adjust the screen's light, brightness and contrast. The windshield holder is not very convenient, but the dock is great (adhesive tapes are included).Very happy with this purchase.
