Definitely my favorite bottles... Wonderful for babies who are breast and bottle feeding!
These bottles are great and I would definitely recommend them - especially for combo breast/bottle feeding!! The nipples are huge and very soft and really help a newborn get the hang of bottle feeding while mimicking breastfeeding closer than most other bottles. (The only other one that I used that I would say can even compare is the Lansinoh mOmma Bottles. Their nipples are maybe a tiny bit better, but I don't like the bottle itself.)I really love the fact that these are silicone instead of plastic. This makes them SUPER easy to clean and keeps the fatty/oily content of breastmilk from clinging to the sides of the bottle (as it does with plastic). Nothing is more frustrating than putting your breastmilk into a plastic container and seeing a bunch of residue left behind... That stuff is liquid gold and wasting even a few drops per bottle is painful! Which actually also brings me to my biggest negative about these bottles. As other people have said, the base on them really should be wider (especially on the 8 oz version). They are extremely top heavy and can tip over quite easily, especially when pouring milk or trying to attach the nipple with one hand. So be very careful when handling to avoid crying over spilled milk!Back on the positives... I have never had one leak and the vents seem to work well to keep the nipple from collapsing or getting too much air. They are dishwasher safe (and actually get clean in the dishwasher due to the open/straight sided shape vs. a traditional bottle shape with a lip). The lack of lip on these is also great for getting every last ounce of liquid out of the bottle (once again, not leaving any breastmilk behind is the key reason why these are so great!) Lastly, I really like the squishy feel of these... They are so easy for a baby to grip and helped my daughter to start holding her own bottle really early on. It is also nice because you can give the bottle a little squeeze to force some milk out if your little one needs a little help getting started or is a lazy sucker and dozes off quickly. In summary, I tried a lot of different bottles (Avent, Dr Browns, Tommee Tipee, BornFree and Lansinoh) and these were by far, my favorite. They are a little pricey, but if you plan to bottle feed often, they will prove worth the investment in the end. As some people have said, they don't easily fit in a normal bottle warmer, but that wasn't really an issue for me. A coffee mug of hot water worked perfectly for warming them up and I found I used this method instead of the bottle warmer even for the bottles I have that do fit in it.If I were to be critical, I would say they need to widen the flat part of the base to avoid toppling over. Lastly, the thread on the ring/screw part can sometimes get really tight (or even slightly wrenched/misaligned) and with the soft-sided bottle it is really hard to get a grip to loosen it up and pry it off. I have several times had to leave them sitting until my husband comes home to ask him to unscrew them for me. But I guess that can be part of his contribution to the baby feeding effort! :)

Best bottles for my baby
While these bottles are more expensive than most on the market currently, buying these was the best choice I made!We have been using these bottles for 8-9 months now and my baby absolutely loves these them and so do I. They are not without flaws, and I will review those too.Disclaimer : The CONS for these bottles do not deter me from using them nor will they deter me from buying these again for our next child (Hopefully they will be still exist whenever that happens)PROS:1) Comfortable soft grip!2) Air-vents work very well!3) Shape of the nipple is so close to woman's breast, baby doesn't get fussy when switched between the bottle and the real deal.4) The nipple (stage 1) has such a small hole that it doesn't drip when held upside down and makes the baby work for the milk... It worked for me for 2 reasons. One, my baby would become overwhelmed and choke on the fast milk flow that came from all the other stage 1 bottles (and I've tried many) Two, if the flow was too easy, she'd get fussy and not want to nurse with me because she had to work to get the milk.5) Easy to clean and fill with forumla because of such a wide base.CONS:1) The OZ/ML numbers are hard to see because they are the same color as the bottle. I turn the grid toward the lite and squint to see, (doesn't bother me too much any more cuz I got used to it)2) The wide nipple makes it hard to tilt up the bottle without tilting the baby back as it starts pressing against the baby's nose when there is little in the bottle. (we also got used to it and figured out a system)3) And this is just personal opinion - my baby took loger to hold on to this bottle on her own because it is very wide and has a bit of weight to it. But she worked through it and now holds the bottle just fine.4) Lastly, it can sometimes hard to unscrew the top part of the bottle using that little nub on the ring (especially when my husband tightens it, heh)Overall, and despite all these few cons, I still give these bottles 5 starts.IMPORTANT NOTE - 5oz bottles come with level 1 nipples (one hole) and 8oz bottles come with level 2 nipples (2 holes)
