Motor ESC combo?! Don't even work right together! Terrrible!
Bought one of these combos.. Hence "combo" being the motor and esc are sold together so should work flawless together!!? HaHaHa i may add.. shame on this company for that! my first purchase of this "combo" Had terrible throttle response and wouldn't even roll over my foot without a push to get going.. Once it goes.. it goes.., but any resistance and you are walking to get your car over a pebble.. thought I was missing something since this was sold as a combo esc/motor and gave that the benefit of the doubt, under the impression they are perfectly paired for eachother! HaHaHa again!.. Bought a goolrc programming tool to troubleshoot the electronic speed controller (esc) settings and that Didn't help at all.. Returned the first thinking I must have gotten a faulty setup after trying to troubleshoot.. I got the second and the same problems occurred. I felt defeated and gave in.. took the motor and put it on another car esc combo i have and it responded perfectly! The esc in this combo is horrendous. I can't believe they even sell these together.. its like an upsell for the motor, but if the esc doesn't operate the motor properly that is a terrible idea as you are going to get product returns left and right because of your esc upsell. Stick with budget motors and if so create a stronger driveshaft as many reviews on here say they have snapped them.. Didn't get a chance to go that far with the motor as reading ALL of those reviews as well and figured it wasn't worth the risk! Sticking with reputable escs and motors now! Thanks for the learning experience! For that this product gets a single star..

Great starter system
If you’re looking to upgrade to your first brushless setup or your a novice RC enthusiast you won’t be disappointed. Compares marginally to my spektrum system in my Senton BLX. If your someone has has had experienc with flagship brushless combos like Spektrum, Castle, etc you won’t be as impressed. Overall it seems reliable, ran this in several vehicles including Slash 1/16, Senton 4x4 Mega, and trx4 sport. Performed well with all applications. (This system made my originally brushed Arrma Senton faster than my already brushless Senton BLX, both speed ran on 2s)

Terrible quality control
So many problems before even installing them. The electric motor has a tap sheered off in the front, the positive cable for the power switch is not soldered to the switch so now I have to fix a brand new product, and the ESC cover has 4 screws that 3 of them broke off trying to take it off to figure out why the ESC was losing power (learned it was the power switch as I mentioned before). Only getting 2 stars because the motor is powerful and it does turn on and work, at least for now. -1 star because customer service said a return is difficult and pushed me to keep their broken product “if it still works” after stating it’s broken. Definitely powerful, but not even a descent qualityEdit: Just like the other reviews said, my ESC just burned down and almost took the whole RC car with it. Nothing was run beyond what the specs say, just a bad quality product.

Cog monster
Motor and esc combo….. I wonder if any QA is done in these factories? First the instructions in the box say yes to 2S but no to 3S. ESC clearly has 2/3S printed on the side and the description on Amazon says the same. I installed this combo and used the factory default settings for an hour and it cogged every time I gave it between 10-20% throttle. I had to use my foot to get it past the initial stutter. It took off on a throttle punch but nothing would solve the cogging. I used the programming card and adjusted the start mode to 8 and it did nothing for the issue. I will try a different esc to see if that is the problem otherwise when it gets going, this motor smokes the stock 550 brushed holyton I removed. I also installed the twin fan heatsink setup since this motor gets blazing hot on 3S. No heat issues after the fan install.

Not good power
I mean for the price it is what I expected, the power dosent hit as hard as my castle, it’s more of exponential power.

It doesn't work
I sent the first one back and got a replacement. They both did the same thing. Under power they would turn off and reboot. You would think that the esc would drive the motor because they came together in a kit but nope. I had to buy a hobbywing esc to power the esc. It might work with 3s but they tell you not to use a 3s with it so I didn't try. Save you time and money and get something else.
