Cisco 8861 IP Phone with Multiplatform Firmware - Charcoal (Renewed)

I have purchased several of these and they all have worked perfectly. The packaging has all been Cisco branded, everything was packaged like I would expect a new device to look. I have not seen anything to make me think they are used (ie, no scuffing, scratches, dirt, etc). The instructions included in the packaging have usually been non-English based, but there there is not much information in the instructions; mostly legal disclaimers.The firmware in all of them has been old and needs to be updated (which happens on new phones too). It isn't terribly difficult to upgrade once you know what you are doing, but it does take time to figure out the process if this is a new phone for you.

Connected to my VOIP provider (not Cisco) without any problems. Great sound quality. Solid build.This phone is definitely scaled for receptionists and call centers: it is huge with well spaced buttons. Looks a bit oversized and dated on an EX desk.

Bought this to have a physical desk phone while working from home. Worked with my telephony team and had it provisioned in minutes. Process was painless!

If you order from Voip Expert beware. Yes the CP-8861-3PW-K9-(insert code for region) is the 3pcc version, but shipped with a power cord originally. They have sent me two of these. One was locked up requiring a TFPT server for an activation code etc also loaded with MRA Firmware. The second the GUI web interface to really program the phone was locked out I just got the continuous spinning circle if loading bars. This most likely means it’s locked to ringcentral or another VOIP provider.To VoIP Expert,Make sure what firmware is in the phone and the web interface is accessible before selling it. We don’t want locked phones!

Paired with the latest MPP third-party friendly firmware, any 8800 series is a fantastic upgrade for existing Cisco system users. More importantly, if you’re using the new Webex Calling Pro service - this phone pairs fantastically.

Doesn’t come with a power supply WTF? Who does crap like that very misleading and in professional.

I use this phone for my small business. I used Ring Central for the phone service. The wireless function is a big plus.You can plug in anywhere any room and it is ready to go. You can carry to office or home and continue to use it.No wire needed. I definitely recommend for other people to use it.
