I will continue to buy this.
Works very well. I feel like my hair texture has improved since using it. I have naturally curly hair that is very fine.

i will update as time goes on
(2/20/24)i received and used it last night. the shampoo smells good. the conditioner smells a little weird to me but not necessarily “bad” weird. neither of them smell so strong that the scent lingers or anything though.i don’t notice a huge difference in frizz or anything (but that’s most likely a fault on my part for not knowing how to style my hair lol). my hair does feel cleaner than it would with my old shampoo (native brand). and my hair feels “lighter” if that makes sense. like it’s not being weighed down by any residues or anything like that. so far i like it :) as for thickening-results, i’ll obviously have to wait to share that. so i’m setting a reminder on my phone to remind me to update this review every 3 months, maybe for the next year or so, with pictures and whatnot.(2/26/24)i know i said id right a review 3 months from now (and i still will) but i wanted to mention that i’ve washed my hair twice now with this stuff and my hair is definitely feeling softer. like silky soft. i love it :)(6/27/24)sooo i finally caved and saw a curly hair specialist ($$$ 😮💨). i’ve only ever gotten trims—never a haircut. but my hair had gotten so long (past my butt) that all that weight pulled the curl out of my hair. plus, as i mentioned before, idk how to style my hair lol so i needed help from a curly hair specialist to figure out what the heck to do with my mane. i won’t belabor all the details she shared with me, but apparently *another* reason my curls were kind of limp was because of certain products i was using (like shea moisture leave in conditioner, for example). my hair in particular needs a water based, light, “airy” kind of moisture, NOT a heavy, oil-based product that would only cause my hair to lay flat. anyways, the hair stylist asked what shampoo/condish i used, and i showed her this, and she said that this would be good to use once in a while to “deep clean,” but that i shouldn’t use it on a regular basis. ACV cleans VERY thoroughly, so it will remove all the build up of products and everything, which is good! but if you use it too frequently, it can be too drying and leave your hair more vulnerable to damage and whatnot. so as of now, i’m using R+Co shampoo/condish as per her recommendation, and using the ACV products like once a month or so.my hair still feels soft and silky :) i have not necessarily noticed an increase in thickness, although i can’t say that that’s a fault of the product, since im using it far less frequently now. my hair is very thick to begin with. my concern was that my hair began to thin out near my temples (probably due to autoimmune issues.. which a shampoo cannot fix on its own anyway lol). anyways, this may or may not be my last review. i just wanted to conclude that i like this product a lot! and to share what my hair stylist said about overusing this, which, you’re welcome to do with that info as you please. just food for thought :)

It does what it claims
Reluctant and pessimistic about what a shampoo can really do, I was apprehensive to spend nearly $30 for shampoo and conditioner. Especially when I'm used to spending 1-2 dollars a bottle. I had surfer dude hair for much of my life. In my 20's I began to notice a lot of hair fallout. One year I decided to shave my head and donate my hair. Great! No more hair maintenance and 0 fallout (that I could see). I shaved my own head for 10 years and last year my hair started growing out again like a porcupine. My brother told me, 'You look better with hair." So, I decided to grow my hair out again. My hair is about 6 inches long now (halfway back to surfer dude hair) and for the last month I've noticed how much more my hair is falling out in the shower (20-30 strands). It's stressful when you have that much hair come out every day. You look at the ingredients on the backs of your shampoo and conditioner bottles and you THINK that those ingredients SHOULD promote hair growth and prevent your hair from falling out so much. It makes you skeptical of what any other shampoo and conditioner might be able to do (especially when you're frugal like myself). I thought about using the big name brands in the store but they all have similar ingredients (all stuff that's difficult for me to pronounce). I looked at all the different anti hair loss shampoos on Amazon for about a week - going back and forth over the reviews and what wouldn't be too big of a loss if the stuff didn't work. I opted for the PURA D'OR Apple Cider Vinegar Thin2Thick Set Shampoo Conditioner because I understood all the ingredients. I wanted something with caffeine in the ingredients but I didn't see it listed. Anyhow, I'm sure you're reading my review because you want a verdict and not my life story. My first shampoo with this, of course nothing is going to work a miracle the very first time, well, close to nothing. I had the same amount of hair fall out BUT my hair felt a lot lighter and bouncier after the very first use. That in itself was impressive! It must have been the apple cider vinegar. As other reviewers might say, it doesn't have GREAT lather (even with an in home soft water system). Here's the trick I use. 1/2 a pump in my hand, I rub my hands together to create the lather, use the lather in one hand to work into the areas where my hair is thinning, rub my hands together again to create more lather, use the lather in the other hand to treat other areas where my hair is thinning, and for a third time, rub my hands together again to get the last bit of lather and use both hands to work the lather into my hair and scalp. Don't massage like you're giving your scalp a deep tissue massage. You'll just agitate your scalp, loosening your hair where it's planted. Be gentle and kind. The elixir will eventually get to where it needs to go. For good luck I rub the top of my head like I'm rubbing Buddha's belly. Just kidding. I do rub it in like that but not for good luck. My girlfriend says I'm getting a bald spot there. Third use, maybe a little less hair fallout. Fourth use, I was still half asleep in the shower and used a full pump (too much). Still some hair fallout but maybe even a little less. I was too tired to notice. Fifth use, wow! Less hair fallout! This stuff might be working! I reserve the conditioner for the weekends because 1) I don't like the feel of buildup in my hair. It just makes me feel like I have to wash my hair again. 2) Refer to earlier statement. I'm cheap. Sixth and seventh use, maybe a dozen strands of hair fallout each time. I'm sold on this product! For daily conditioning, I used about 2-3 pumps of the conditioner in a 10 ounce spray bottle and filled the rest of the bottle up with beer. Just kidding. With water and shook it up to make a leave in conditioner. It still weighs down my hair, but not too badly. I hope my review helped those of you in search of the same thing I was (less hair fallout) and this review helped to narrow it down to only a few of many choices out there on Amazon. Since I've recently had success with this product, I never realized how toxic the ingredients you can barely pronounce on those other bottles of shampoos and conditioners can be. I didn't expect much (if anything) from this product, but I'm glad I cut the padlock off my wallet to buy this one. Remember though, all of our body chemistries are different. I have the DNA of a horned lizard and you may have the DNA of a hedgehog. No, really though. I was fortunate enough to have good results with this product where others may have had a bad reaction or tried to rub it in like they were rubbing in a dry rub on a rack of pork ribs. Again, be gentle and kind to your head (and to everyone else in the world)! It's going to work differently for everyone. It's not a universal treatment for anti-hair loss but it HAS helped a lot for ME. I've noticed with my last few shampoos these last few days. Try it for a week. I think the manufacturer states, "Satisfaction Guaranteed." Good luck and grow some hair. And when you're tired of your hair, cut it all off and donate it to a non-profit organization.

Healed my scalp!
My new shampoo for life! I’ve struggled with red,dry flaky scalp for a few years now and nothing worked. I didn’t take a picture before trying this but I wish I did! The first day I used this I got a compliment that make hair looked shiny and soft, within a few weeks of using my dry scalp went away! I like how it smells too it’s not over powering. If you had doubts see this as your sign to buy it . It’s amazing100%

Smell didn't convince me.
They recommended me this product to help with hair growth. I bought it and didn't really like the smell. You can certainly tell it contains the apple cider vinegar and leaves the hair smelling like someone's food. Not sure if I even noticed the difference. Wouldn't buy again.
