There are a number of cases out there. The majority are multi-layered case that can be confusing to put together if you lose the sequence of assembly of the layers. This one does not have that problem. With only two layers and open sides it’s very hard to confuse which is top and which is bottom. Because of the footprint of the Pi’s, this can be used with both Pi 3 and Pi 4 even though the manual shows pictures of a Pi 4.The kit comes with a top and bottom layer, fan, fan guard, hardware, three heat sinks, instruction manual, and a screw driver. Assembly is fair straight forward but if you go by the instruction manual, step two is incorrect. However I received an email from tech support with a video before it arrived explaining the correct method and also stating the manual will be corrected in the future. And because of the change in step 2, I had extra hardware. Keep a pair of tweezers and needle nose pliers handy. The pliers will handy for help tightening the nuts and standoffs and the tweezers for pulling the backing off the heatsinks.Because I used this with a Pi 3B, I had an extra heat sink. I wish there were lock washers for the fan. Vibrations could loosen the nuts but I think I’m overly cautious. Personally I like the open sides of the case. It will help with air flow to cool the devices on the board. It’s like those custom made PC cases where you can see into the case. The open sides would also help in getting access to the GPIO pins and the other ports.Overall this is a well-made case. I’ve already replaced an authorized Pi 3 case with this one as it did not have a fan and heat sinks. Great case for your money.

Better than original case included with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B desktop kit. Not perfect for every build / heatsink but I was able to get lower cpu temperatures with the simple heat sink and fan.This noticably helped improve performance with casual web browsing, but I would recommend a more heavy-duty heat sink and fan like an Ice Tower, if you plan on using the Pi4b to frequently watch HD or 4k video, retro gaming or intensive apps.The Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Desktop Kit did not come with ANY cooling at all. No heat sink or fan - which causes significant thermal throttling even with casual use. This kit helped keep temperatures more under control.The case itself is simple, but works for a lot of fans and the plastic is easy enough to cut if you need to modify it.

Needed a case, heat sinks and a fan for my new Rpi 4, came across this one and ordered it. It fits the 4 well. The holes all line up nicely, the opening for the GPIO header is in the right place. Would be nice if the opening was a little larger so attaching wires to the GPIO was easier but that is true of most cases. You can put the wires on. On the up side, they will not come lose on the headers.The fan is unbelievably quiet. I figured I would have to put up with a little fan noise to keep the Pi cool but I can't even hear the fan. I had to look to make sure it was spinning. You have easy access to all of the ports and the MicroSD card. Pretty nice case. Throw in the fact the fan is virtually silent, this becomes a GREAT case.

The instructions weren't exactly easy to follow, nor were they correct, but who actually ready the manual anyway? If you're smart enough to use a RasberryPi, you're smart enough to figure out how to put this together. It's really a nice little case and for 9 bucks delivered with fan you can't go wrong. Very impressed, good stuff right here.

The case went together fine except that the screws for the fan and shield were too short. Easy to put together, protects well, easy access to plugs and sd card slot, no problems

Was missing a few screws, contacted Smraza through their Facebook and a new replacement case was immediately shipped by them, at no cost to me, hands down some of the best customer service I've experienced.
