They are very smooth to work with and sturdy. Chances are you're making socks with smaller size needles. So buy the long fixed-cables and use the Magic Loop method.

This set contains no SOS (lifeline) cords. Addi Lace Long Set only contains them.

3.5 inches from the very tip of the needle to the insertion point for the cable. Very comfortable for me to use. I now use them more than I use my regulars.
