Idea well thought, but poorly executed.
When you add it to the car, it work by placing your hand on the side door panel. After, it may work on and off, or may stop working altogether. Taking it off your finger and placing it on the door does work. In other words, just like the key card. It is supposed to work with the ring on, if not, then it defeats the purpose. I ordered a replacement thinking it was just that faulty ring, but the second one that arrived, followed the same pattern. If you don't mind taking the ring off to place it on the door, and taking it off to put it also on the center console to start the car, then you should be ok. Otherwise, for me it does not work, the key card is free and came with the car. The ring if I have to take it off it will be the same as the key card but paying $120.00. Makes no sense. Returning both of them. The idea was very Well thought but poorly executed.

Not Desfire EV2 8K but NTAG216 with below 1K size and without the Desfire EV2 security features!

Works great for desk workers
I loved it for the use I had. But working any labor intensive job may break the contract in the ring so be careful. Well worth the buy for a desk worker though. Had mi e 4 .on the before it quit reading.

Easy in and out
Works great, easy to use. Basic unlock and lock and driving your Tesla. My phone usually doesn’t work if carried in the back pocket. Have to hold it close to pillar to enter. This is great as intended.

Works fine. One reviewer gave this product a one star without reading the description. It says:"Chip type: NTAG216. If you want DESFire EV2 or custom rings contact us: [email protected]"I use this ring to store a contact card, and it has no issues activating/transferring when placed against the back of NFC-enabled phones.

Once you get one you will realize it should have automatically come with your car
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is my third CNICK Tesla ring. If you are on the fence about getting one, all I can say is it'd be a huge mistake not to. It is a major lifestyle upgrade and you will be hooked forevermore once you have it.I love these rings so much, it makes me love my car even more, which is hard to believe that would even be possible.The key card that comes with the car is not convenient at all, which is not news to anyone. So then you rely on your phone which is better, but not reliable because there have been many times where my phone is dead. Plus I'm a little nervous what if I lost my phone or left my phone in the car... Also my phone is not convenient. I often go to the garage while I'm at home to get something out of (or put something in) my car and I never would stop to think "go get your phone," just to open the door. I never take my ring off. I even sleep and shower with it.I have to admit it's really empowering to have your car physically linked to your body. You feel like a cyborg...!Also it's just mega cool, plain and simple. It's just one more reminder that noting is the same when you own a Tesla. Frankly, I feel like Tesla really missed the boat by not delivering the car with a ring already in your size waiting for you. It's such a natural fit with the whole Tesla brand.And finally, it's another opportunity to have people see the ring and ask you about owning one, if you get a logo one, so it can be a conversation starter.I decided to post a video because you would never guess how easy it is to get it working and how well it works if you didnt see it for yourself.

It works!
Bought for my 2018 Tesla Model 3 LR. Was skeptical and afraid it wouldn't work and have $120 wasted. But it does as intended. Pairing was easy to setup and life is now more convenient with this ring! Pretty neat to be able to lock and unlock doors with just your hand and also start the vehicle.
