DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. I did, its 6 months old and already the lower section collar has broken and the locking mechanism has failed. If you raise and lower this pole regularly it won't last 6 months. The install instructions are crap, sand will not keep this pole vertical. The tube that goes into the ground is thin material, section 30 or 40 PVC would work better. The tube is smooth, wind lifts it right out of the ground a little everyday until it falls over. I will be looking into a better quality solid pole to replace.

Very nice, beautiful great size

It took a little while to put it up since we wanted to do it right and put the sleeve in concrete. It goes up easily and it twist locks each section in place. It looked great and really sturdy. We also found a solar light topper, so we did not have to take it down each day. This had the added benifit of a solar yard light that lit up quite a bit of the yard. Unfortunately, it did not last long. I did have two flags on it and the topper but, when I came home after work, I found it broken at the first collar. Neighbors did tell me that we had a sudden storm, and there were palm froms blown down so it must been a bit gusty. I guess I'll look for something with stronger tubing but now I already have the sleeve in concrete so it will need to be the same diameter bottom tube. We really liked it so just disappointed. It would probably be great if you are home to take it in when a storm comes or maybe not fly two flags.
